Even Derek could see that there was something bothering Allison, and he wanted to make sure that she was alright. He wasn't sure what he could do, but he had to try. Lately he had came to care for her a great deal, and the last thing he wanted was to see her suffering. So, when she had mentioned a run he had jumped at the chance. Maybe the two of them could finally talk about it whatever it was that was keeping her up at night. He was worried about her even more than he let on, but he wasn't sure how to talk things out with her. They hadn't been that close before showing up here, but then again maybe that was a good thing. He could be a fresh set of ears and not be judgmental. He knew she was used to seeing him in his normal attire, so he only wore a simple a pair of jeans. He wasn't even wearing shoes, because he was more comfortable running bare foot. So, he did get quite a few stares as he made his way to her tent to meet her, but he ignored them. He didn't care what the other people at the carnaval thought. The only person on his mind at the moment was her. He made his way through the tents until he finally came to the tent he had been searching for. He walked into her tent, standing near the entrance. He waited for her to say something before making his way the rest of the way in. He didn't want to interrupt her time spent getting ready. Of course it was hard for him to be patient when all he wanted to do was go over to her and make sure she was alright. Once he was sure she was dressed he made his way over to her where she was standing. He had a concerned but yet understanding smile on his lips. "So, run or chat first?" he asked, as always getting right to the heart of the matter. It was just in his nature to rush into things. He liked knowing for sure what was going on, and he wasn't the patient type. |
