Anna had a feeling that a lot of people at this place could probably relate to that feeling. Surely most everyone had someone back home they'd miss. Even if it was someone who had already passed away. Grief and loss were pretty universal emotions, regardless of species. Humans, vampires, ghosts, werewolves. They all felt grief.
She nodded at Lydia's response to her question, but paused at the redhead's own question. She studied her for a moment, sensing her anxiety and offering her a small, gentle smile. "I think so. We can just stick together if you want. Safety in numbers, right?" Of course there was a lot that Lydia didn't know about Anna. There was a lot that Anna wasn't eager to share about herself. But that didn't mean she couldn't keep an eye on the younger woman. Or that they couldn't be friends. She could count on one hand the number of female friends she'd had over the years.
