Elijah was in the mood for a walk. Staying inside would drive him crazy. As soon as he stepped outside he took in a deep breath. Thoughts of family and loyalty were going through his mind...as always. Elijah was big on doing right by the people in his life and that much hadn't changed. He loved his family more than anything, but now there were other people in his life. Over the years he hadn't made many friends....or ones that stuck anyways, but lately there seemed to be a few people he wanted to keep around. Several of those people were here and he wasn't sure how to go about protect all of them in this new strange place. He took in another deep breath, pushing the thoughts from his mind. Those were the very thoughts that had been driving him crazy all morning and over thinking them clearly wasn't getting him anywhere. So, off he went on another long walk hoping the little foray into nature would clear his head. As he walked in ignored the people around him for the most part, because he just wasn't in a talkative mood. Most of them had no idea who he was, and some of the ones that did had misconceptions of who he really was. The few that knew him were the only ones he really cared about. He would hurt any innocent people, but he wasn't about to go around playing hero right now either. He had too many of his own people to worry about....he couldn't run around putting himself and the others in danger to save someone he had never met. He hated having these thoughts. It made him seem so cold, but he knew it was the only way all of them were going to get out of here alive. Finally he came to a tree just outside of the camp and it seemed like a good spot to take a rest. Of course he didn't really need on, but if there was one thing he had learned it was that it was best to keep up appearances. So, he slid down the tree trunk, taking a seat on the cool ground. He leaned his head back against the trunk and closed his eyes. He sat there for what seemed like forever, before he heard someone approaching him. He had a feeling as to who it was, because he recognized that scent but he didn't want to startle her. So, he waited for her to make the first move. |
