Who: Amy Peterson and OTA When: January 6th, nighttime What: Dancing at the hoedown, having a good time Where: the cookhouse tent Status: Open/Incomplete
She’d done lots of dancing as per her job, but it had been some time since Amy had last gone dancing for fun. The music wasn’t what she was used to, but she could find a beat and that was really the most important part when it came to dancing. Amy was purposely trying not to be provocative. Dancing that was okay back home at her high school dances was downright scandalous in the 1930’s. She twirled around, spending one song dancing with a carny whose name she wasn’t entirely sure of. All she knew was that the man could dance pretty well.
The song came to a finish and Amy clapped as she stopped dancing, laughing a little and very obviously having a great time with it. She did a curtsy to her dancing partner and made her way over to the chairs set up around the cookhouse tent. Amy clapped to the beat as another song started up. She slipped out of her shoes for the moment just to give her feet a rest. The dancing of the times was kind of hard on one’s feet and her shoes weren’t exactly made for comfort.
