Sam had been walking for about 15 minutes, he hadn't really gotten very far but he'd just been wandering sort of aimlessly around. The thought occurred to him that he should probably see where the dart throw game was going to be, knowing he'd have to set it up at some point but that could wait a little longer. As he headed past the side show tent, towards the area where the games and attractions were setting up he heard someone call his name. He froze, recognizing the voice almost instantly. He looked up and waved back uncertainly but he remained where he was standing, at least for the moment.
It wasn't that he didn't want to see her, of course he did, it was Jo. But she had been dead for more than 2 years. Sure Sam had seen people come back from the dead before, hell he'd done it himself a couple of times but it wasn't usually after such a long time. He had wanted to take a little time to get his head around it before he had saught her out. Knowing she was here and actually seeing her were too very different things. However the decision appeared to have been taken away from him, and the last thing he wanted to do was walk away from her now. Particularly as he knew how disorientated he felt and he had only been pulled from another timeline, not another ethereal plane entirely. This must be a difficult adjustment for her.
He took a deep breath and started walking towards her. When he reached her he managed a small smile and said simply "Hi Jo."
