Matt still couldn't believe his luck. He had finally gotten rid of the little hitchhiker, thanks to Katherine and now he was stuck in this place. So, not only did he have this debt to Katherine hanging over his head, but he was stuck somewhere that he couldn't fufill it. He hated it. He just wanted to get back to Mystic Falls, repay his debt and finally get on with his life. This was even more frustrating for him, because it seemed like no matter how hard he tried he couldn't get away from the supernatural world around him. He couldn't come up with any other reason for why or how he was here. Ever since he had arrived he had spent most of his time in his tent, wanting to avoid trouble here if he could. The last thing he wanted was to draw attention to himself. But the possibility that there was someone else out there that he knew...someone from his own time finally drew him from his tent. He just couldn't help wondering if his friends needed his help. Sure he may be the human out of the bunch, but he wasn't a coward. So, that is why he could now be found walking through the camp. He was trying to look at each person he passed, but since he didn't want people looking at him he tried to do it discreetly. After several more passes he hadn't really seen anyone, but that could also be because after the first two tents he had started only looking up for a few seconds at a time. The rest of the time he kept his head down and kept on moving. This place was just too strange for him, and of course he wasn't about to make new friends here. He had friends of his own and a life to get back to, and he didn't want anything holding him back from that. Eventually he came to the edge of the camp, so he headed over to the nice patch of grass and sat down. It was peaceful enough out here and he was able to rest there. He laid back on the ground and looked up at the night sky. It certainly was a nice place. He had to give them that. Soon enough he found himself drifting off. About half an hour later he woke with a start and looked around him. He wasn't sure himself how long he had been there, but more importantly what had happened while he was sleeping? He made a note to himself to be more careful in this place. He jumped to his feet and took on more look around before turning back towards the camp. |
