"Well, sadly it was what got my father killed." Alex said. If only Nikolai had been a little more open to Sergei's ideas, he might still be here today. But it was too late for that, and dwelling on the past never helped. Alex didn't like thinking about it at all, if she could help it. And that was how Amanda used it as a weapon against her, which had ultimately gotten Sean killed. If Amanda ever showed up here.... She let that thought go for the moment. Revenge was not something she needed to be focusing on now. She needed to work on dealing with all of that.
"Can't hurt to be cautious and alert, though." She said, looking around again. This was a big place, it'd be harder here to know her surroundings than it would in a more controlled environment. Still, Alex would be as vigilant as possible. Nikita had taught her little protege well, and Alex had come far. She didn't have anywhere near the skill level or the focus Nikita did, but she was far from just a helpless girl. "I mean, anything that can alter time and space and all that? Has to be at least a little...shady." She commented to Jaime. She found the other girl easy to talk to, which was nice. Alex didn't have a lot of friends, and it was hard to let people get close to her. Trust issues aside, people close to her sometimes met a very unfortunate end.
In a life surrounded by tragedy, Alex still managed to get out of bed and go through her days. That was how she knew she'd be okay here. She was a survivor, she could adapt and change when she needed to. Being adaptable would be instrumental in succeeding here. She knew that. And she'd been in far worse places before.
"Do you think they will?" Alex crossed her arms, turning her attention back to Jaime again. "Put us back, I mean. And if they do...will it be at the same point they were taken?" That was what Alex wanted to hear, because then it wouldn't matter how long she'd been gone. She'd still be able to help her friends. She knew that they could take care of themselves, but what they were facing now was worse than it had ever been before. Amanda's fault, once again. Someone really just needed to kill her.
