"Makes sense," she agreed. "I ... barely passed history," she added, a grin quirking her lips. Even so, she doubted the minor subtleties were ever covered. Just the high points. Her pale blue eyes shifted slightly to the side as she considered the feasibility of seriously screwing with history. Like if they got some people together who knew how to go about doing it, could they assassinate Hitler before it became a thing?
"There're probably ... safeguards and stuff in place. I mean, I don't ever recall hearing about any mass carnival shootings back in this time. Which ... isn't saying much since I don't exactly follow the news in my own time." She followed other things, granted, but the news wasn't one of them. It was too depressing most of the time, and it was either all war here conflict there or stupid, sappy 'feel good' stories that just made her roll her eyes.
"Ah," she said in response to the explanation. That also made sense, too, and she wondered if she really listened for it, if she could hear a trace of it. Maybe she'd see about that. "It wasn't bad. I mean, I wasn't there long. I just scooted over the border to attend a magic show and then did touristy things for a couple days before heading home."
Exhaling, Jaime glanced around. "So what do you think of this hot mess so far?"
