"No, probably not. It's just a song. They might think you made it up or something, even." Alex said. Because bands like Maroon 5 wouldn't exist for a long time. It wasn't likely anyone would care or even notice. They weren't here for that. Alex figured Jaime could sing if she wanted to. She certainly didn't mind. Suddenly Alex found herself wishing for her iPod or something. She didn't know how she'd get used to music from this time, but she would do her best. That was honestly the least of her problems right now. But she'd be okay, because there was no other option. She'd keep the freaking out to a minimum.
"It's Alexandra, actually. But I prefer Alex." She told Jaime. She didn't know how often she'd see her around, or how long they'd be there. "I figure it'll be simple enough." It wasn't like Alex didn't have experience with guns. She laughed a bit at Jaime's words. "Yeah, I could see where people might have some issues with that." No one wanted to hear their future was going to be bad, even if it was the absolute truth of the matter. People wanted to hear that they got a happy ending. But life was no fairy tale. Alex knew that better than most.
"I think it's a little more primitive." She told her. "I don't think it's real bullets in there." But she hadn't gotten a chance to examine them closely enough yet. It would be hard to reuse the targets if they got hit with real bullets. "I don't think there is any chance of that happening." She hoped not, anyway. But if something did happen, Alex could probably take care of it. She was an extremely skilled martial artist, thanks to Nikita. She looked small and non-threatening but she was a force to be reckoned with. She didn't want to get violent, but she would if she needed to.
"So where are you from, originally?" Alex asked her. If she truly was stuck here, might as well attempt to make some friends.
