Jaime shook her head. "I don't know them well enough to have come to a decision. Jury's still out, and all that," she admitted. They were probably just doing their jobs, and for all she knew, this carnival kidnapping had been going on for ages and they were just victims too. Victims with authority -- or what passed for it -- but still victims. So she wasn't going to judge yet.
"Ooh, evil laugh. We'll have to make a list. Maybe find someone who can draw and do up a wanted poster," she mused aloud. "Wanted: guy who looks like this and has an evil laugh. Probable crimes include kidnapping all of us," she recited as if dictating for a poster. "Man. I'd almost pay someone to draw that up," she continued. Even if they just did it for a joke, it would be something to hopefully lighten up the hard cases.
"Then as soon as we track down our villain, we employ the method of repetition. Bonus points if we can find someone who can cry on cue or hold their breath until they pass out to help win some sympathy for our side. Problem solved," she declared as if it would only be that easy.
