"It's okay." Alex smiled, sadly. She knew that Jaime hadn't meant it maliciously, and she couldn't possibly know that Alex's father had died. So it was fine. She wasn't mad, or even offended. "It was a long time ago. I thought my mother was dead too, for years. And the world thought I was dead too." She wasn't really sure why she was sharing this with Jaime, but it was common knowledge where Alex was from. And it was nice to talk to someone.
"Maybe." Alex said. She didn't mind the idea of a rebellion, but it could end badly. People could get hurt. Like the mutiny in Division. And Sean's death. She couldn't stop thinking about that since she got here. That was why she had to stay busy and push it from her mind. "But they'd have to be really sure of who to put the blame on." Of course there were likely already theories about who and what Management was, but going in there all crazed and vengeful without the facts would not end well. For now, biding their time seemed much more practical.
"You would think." Alex said. And it would be highly preferable to her, if that were the case. Then it would be like she was never gone at all, and her friends would be okay. Well, not okay. That was a stretch. But they wouldn't be without her help. The situation Nikita was in was so much worse than anything they'd dealt with before. And Alex would worry about that, even while she was here. "Secret code." She repeated, laughing just a bit at the thought. "Wouldn't it be something if it were that simple. Or maybe just saying please a thousand times..."
