At least with her mind being newly opened Henley would be able to skip the disbelief phase of dealing with the news Peter had given her about vampires. It was easy to believe in such things when you found yourself in 1935 via time travel. Zombies, vampires, Henley could handle just about anything, though she was sure there’d be something that would throw her completely off her game. It just hadn’t arrived yet.
“You’re my best option.” She sighed. “I can’t have people knowing about this.” Henley had already stressed that, but figured a little more couldn’t hurt. She was still afraid. Management might see her as a liability and ditch her, leaving her to fend to herself wherever. Others could gang up on her, thinking they’d be doing the right thing by lopping her head off. Peter was the only one she would trust. Only he and Elphaba knew and Elphaba only knew because she was right there when it happened.
“Thank you.” Henley said in a softer voice. “For handling this how you are.”
