Henley shook her head emphatically. “Not a good idea. There are different stories about zombies, different backgrounds and stuff, but the one thing I’d say ninety-nine percent of the stories have in common is that zombies are hungry for people. They’ll try to eat you.” She’d only just met Elphaba, but she imagined she wouldn’t even want strangers to meet their fate at the hands of a zombie. Being dinner for something as creepy as a walking corpse was not something Henley wanted for herself or anyone else.
“As far as the speed of infection goes, it seems to differ from story to story. I’ve heard it where people are infected and turned right away and also the opposite. There are so many different versions of the same idea it’s hard to say what’s true for these guys. At least they seem to be slower than us.” She silently scolded herself as she brought up their speed. There was no way she should have let herself be bitten by a zombie that moved at a snail’s pace.
