"Oh, no. I mean I guess it is more of a guy thing these days too, but if a woman wants a boat in my time, they can have one and sail it too. Not so sure about the 1930's. A lot changed in the '60s and '70s for us..." she squinted as she considered that for a moment. Considering what almost happened to her during her trip to town the other day and the way men outside of the Carnival stared at her, she knew women's rights were pretty terrible these days.
"I'm from 2009. You're from... pretty far back. Going back in time had no been fun. The lack of technology and commodities has been pretty hard to get used to, but at least I kinda know what to expect from books I've read and classes I had in school. This must be pretty overwhelming for you."
