She was both relieved and uneasy when the night's show ended. She and Jeremy were going to meet at her trailer and discuss the situation about emotionless Elena. He'd mentioned the possibility of pulling Stefan into the planning session, and that was what made her uneasy. She and Stefan hadn't spent much time around one another in the past, but she still remembered how he'd tried to stop her from freeing her mother. And she wasn't sure he'd gotten past her kidnapping Elena and Bonnie in order to get Bonnie to do the spell to open the tomb in Mystic Falls. It seemed like such a long time ago now, but if anyone could hold a grudge for a long time? It was a vampire. Especially one who was in love with the person who'd been wronged. Granted, her plans hadn't worked out exactly the way she'd intended (when did they ever, really?). But if she was still pissed at Damon for snapping Jeremy's neck, she imagined Stefan was probably still pissed at her.
She'd taken great caution when it came to avoiding both of the Salvatore's. She hadn't been avoiding Elena, but their paths still hadn't crossed. As small as the carnival was, they all stayed busy enough that time for socializing seemed minute. He'd also said something else that she already knew; this wasn't normal. The whole carnival situation, being back in the 1930's. None of it was where he and Elena were supposed to be. Or the Salvatore's. Or any of the people here. Lately she'd been reading things on the board about how management knew things about all of them, but they knew nothing about management. She knew some people were concerned about that, but Anna hadn't been. At least not for herself. But for Jeremy? She was worried even though she was trying to ignore it. She didn't understand how the place worked. She knew that Lydia and Allison had both vanished, as well as Jenna and Alaric. It figured, really. She'd actually made some friends -- possibly for the first time ever, aside from Jeremy, of course, and they'd been sent home. It made her nervous.
Smoothing down her trapeze costume as she walked, Anna glanced around and saw people heading back to their trailers, and others heading back to their homes. She drew in a breath as she ascended the steps to the trailer, opening the door and glancing over to see Jeremy already there, waiting for her.
"Hey," she said, pulling the hair tie out of her hair. She kept it braided during her shows, because it kept it out of her face. But she liked having her hair down a lot more than having it tied back.
