Following their departure from Empire City, a certain peace had fallen over the carnival in Goldthwaite. So much so that even Carl seemed to be affected by it. Of course, it could be some new phenomena brought about by the carnival's presence in a new town, but there was generally little one could do but suffer through it if it was. There was one (literal) note to suggest that his relative cheer (which was still accompanied by a slight frown most of the time) was not brought about by anything paranormal, however, as it both affected that cheer and indicated that not everyone was content. But Management had said to leave it and if Management wasn't bothered, then for once Carl wasn't going to be. There was generally enough for him to worry about without it and Although is was Carnaval de la Lumière's day off, Carl didn't tend to have those. He'd spent the morning doing odd jobs around the lot, had spoken to Management about that note, and was about to check in with Art when he noticed the newcomer. The attire gave him away, even for a carny it was a bit too strange. Carl retrieved his notebook where he scrawled down the details Management gave them himself. Trickster. Deity. Those had stood out and they did again. They might just be enough to sully his mood, but he'd soon find out. Carl cleared his throat as he approached, unsure of how to address this deity. He stuck with tradition, though would take being corrected. "Mr Laufeyson?" |
