Elizabeth could almost have laughed at the idea of her willingly having a conversation about fashion but at least it confirmed there was some hope for the future in that regard.
"You aren't holding me up," Elizabeth assured her, "though I can't promise how long Geraldine will be patient." The elephant pricked up her ears at the sound of her name and reached for Elizabeth with her trunk shoving her gently. Probably a hint she was hungry though that was what Elizabeth guessed most of the time when the elephant wanted anything. "And you have your rehearsal to get to," she said ruefully. "But it was nice to meet you. I'll see you in the ring no doubt if not before."
