Juliet shook her head slightly. "I wonder if anyone has left. Or been sent back. Before our times, I mean." Which further made her wonder if the people they were replacing were people who'd been pulled here then sent back. It wasn't like they'd ever know, but it was interesting to consider all the same. "Guess we'll find out if our time ever comes to get sent back," she continued.
She laughed softly at that, then shrugged. "I'm sure more than one woman has sacrificed warmth for looking hot," she murmured. "I mean, the torment they put their feet through to wear heels is bad enough, but ..." Juliet shook her head, then shrugged. "Guess that's the way society rolls." She supposed she subscribed to it, sometimes. Not all the time though; she was definitely a PJ pants and baggy sweatshirts kind of girl when she wasn't deliberately dressing up. Even at work she only wore flats, but it was insanity to be on her feet for six or eight hours a day in two inch heels.
