"I'll keep you posted," she promised. "Maybe there's ... some sort of guidebook somewhere. Horse Training 101, or Horse Training for Dummies or something," she speculated. She doubted that, and even if there was, she could only imagine the methods employed in this time period. They still had issues with animal cruelty in her time and she knew the farther back in time they went, the worse it was likely to be.
"I know .. positive reinforcement's a thing," she began. "You know, you drop a cue to the elephant and when it -- she? he? -- responds right, you give a reward. I dunno if that's ... going to be effective with elephants though." She didn't see why it wouldn't be though and she guessed she could at least try that with the horse.
"I had a horse when I was younger. But ... I didn't train it tricks. Just under saddle stuff. Normal stuff." Still, that at least gave her familiarity with the field, and that was something.
"Oh, like on a cruise?" She asked, her head cocking to one side. Except somehow that didn't quite feel right; something seemed out of context for it to be anything that mundane. Still, she'd wait for clarification to see just how off-base she was.
