Who: Elphaba Thropp and OPEN!
Where: Near the tents
When: Tuesday after they arrived.
What: Settling in.
Warnings: N/A for now
Status: Ongoing/open

A Carnaval. She was a freak in a carnaval. This was payback from the Wizard. Or Madame Morrible. Or both. Her father was probably behind it too, somehow. He got tired of her disgracing the 'good name of the Thropp family.' Elphaba snorted. And that Carl, he even sounded like her father. But she knew this place wasn't Oz. She wasn't home anymore. No, she was far away from it... far from Shiz, from Glinda, from Nessa, from Boq and Fiyero. It was just as well for that part, anyway. They would all do just fine without her, they would do better without her.

The only one she worried about was Doctor Dillamond. Him and the other Animals might not do as well, not if the rest of Oz didn't find out what was happening. But maybe, with her gone, Glinda would do what had to be done. She had it in her, Elphaba knew it, Glinda knew it. She was just afraid of what it meant. But Elphaba supposed she had no way of finding out, or even of helping now. Not yet, anyway. Not unless she somehow managed to figure out a spell to get back to Oz and help the Animals. She couldn't possibly be the only one who saw the injustice and the terribleness of what was being done to them, could she?

Elphaba sighed heavily and shook her head. She shifted her broom and items between her hands then headed over to tent six. Apparently there were other 'freaks' there and the idea that maybe someone else had green skin made her curious to see who she would be sharing her living quarters in this strange place with. This was nothing like Shiz at all. It reminded her of Munchkinland with all the dust and she certainly didn't miss her former home at all.

Fiyero had found were she was staying and he rushed to see her. It had been too long and he needed to make sure that she was okay.

He saw her walk toward the tent and he ran toward her, stopping a little distance away, not sure what her reaction would be to seeing him again.

"Elphaba," he said. He had been leading the hunt to find her, but only because he had wanted to find her so badly, and make sure she was okay, and make sure that she wasn't harmed by whoever caught her.

When she heard her name, Elphaba turned toward him. If she had been in a defensive posture before, it became a whole lot worse when she realized who it was.

Sure, she had been the one who told Fiyero where she was, but she had to. If he was there, others might be and although the Wizard was only after her and the Animals, really, there were other people who were different in this place. She couldn't risk him finding them instead. Not when he was looking for her.

With a couple of steps back, she held her broom out to her side like a weapon. "What do you want?" Despite her posture, her voice was low. She had no real intentions of hurting him. She couldn't if she tried. Deep down, he wasn't like the others. But she had to protect herself.

He was a little hurt that she would actually think that he would ever hurt her. He had thought she would know better than to think he could ever lay a finger on her, but she had probably taken his alleged witch hunt entirely the wrong way.

"I want to know that you're okay," he said, holding his hands up. "Elphie, please," he said, taking a step closer to her. He wanted to hold her and let her know that everything was okay.

Instinctively, she took a step back, but she lowered her broom. She was nervous and she knew there was a strong possibility she would hurt him if she kept pointing it at him, even if she didn't mean to.

Hearing Fiyero calling her 'Elphie' was almost surreal. It brought a weird feeling to the pit of her stomach, a feeling that she imagined would be something Glinda would feel all the time, and something that felt completely foreign to her, so she ignored her.

"Are there others here too? Glinda? The guards? Madame Morrible?" She kept her ears out for any sign of trouble, but everything seemed to be like before.

"I have no idea," he said. "My only thought was seeing you again." He had not checked if others were there and right now he didn't care.

"I promise you, I'm not here to hurt you."

"Seeing me?" Elphaba echoed. That could only be some kind of trick, or joke. Sure, he had helped her with the cub but... he was Fiyero. He had more important things to worry about about. A lot of things. None of which involved her.

She had accepted that a long time ago. "What are you really doing here?"

"I told you why I'm here," he said. "I wished to see you again."
