“Peter!” She responded, laughing a little. She hugged him tightly. It occurred to her that this was their first real hug. Amy hadn’t known Peter all that long, but of course his presence was more than welcome. When she finally pulled away to look him in the face a smile lit up her own. “It’s good to see you. I mean, you have no idea.”
Amy tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. “You’re looking good.” She smiled and gestured to his attire. It looked less like what she’d seen other men wearing and more like something he’d wear for a show. She expected it was something similar to what had happened to her, having been given day clothes and clothes for the song and dance act. “How long have you been here?” She had seen him just the other day when she’d been with Charley, but Amy was open to the possibility that Management could screw with time the same way it pulled people to the carnival. For all she knew, he could have been there for a year. If that was the case, she felt incredibly bad for him.
