Almost as quickly as she'd got his attention, Simon was there, kissing her. She'd imagined how this might all go, back home. Simon just appearing in the engine room to talk to her. Plenty of times it tended to end with a lot more than talk. It suddenly seemed perfectly natural, Kaylee willing to go along, without hesitation, her heart pounding. Just as suddenly, the fantasy of it didn't measure up a bit.
"tiān xiǎode>" She drawled happily, as if suddenly punch-drunk on a kiss, her head resting upon him to stop it spinning. “But I think we oughta just stay.” Who knew, this was a some kinda insane carnival that kidnapped folk, pulled them every which way outta time. Perhaps if you did what you were told 'round this place night and day the person of your dreams would appear missing their shirt, looking to make out? Then suddenly she paused, watching him as if highly suspicious. Was some kinda dream? Because lately impossible seemed to have taken on a new meaning, what with the way this place worked. As if to squash this fear Kaylee gave herself a pinch on the arm, wincing a little.
Without really meaning to, she brought space between them. “..You're really here.” Really Kaylee didn't know what she'd thought at first, be it dream or otherwise, but the notion of Simon really being here had settled. As for where to start, what to tell him – that was the troubling matter now. “We're on Earth-that-was.” She finally said, with nothing to give but honesty. “Don't know how or ..why, but somehow we're here.” She thought she better let that sink in some, though her expression was sympathetic all the same.
