He'd like to say he didn't know how it had happened. He'd like to think he'd been careful. But when the storm had risen like it had, when chaos had descended, when everything was confusion and blinding dust, he'd lost track of her. He hadn't picked up on that until later, when everyone was together -- well, not everyone. She wasn't the only one, but she was the only one he cared about. Logan was not a team player, but there were things he'd join a team for. She was one of them. The problem was, he'd been keeping more or less to himself, and he didn't know anyone here, let alone the white knight sorts. The ones that were going to care about near strangers. He was sort of looking for the brunette who'd warned him to begin with, but he wasn't sure she'd be much help. In the meantime, he kept his eye out for any concerned looking groups, and his ear out for anything relating to the missing girls. He doubted he'd exactly integrate himself neatly into any group that existed here, but he'd try for her sake. If it would get her back. It didn't look to him like things were any clearer now. Things seemed to be just as chaotic as before, but in a different way. Moving like a man who had business somewhere but no destination in mind, Logan prowled through the crowd, listening, looking, and hoping to learn something about their current situation. |
