It was funny, she was more comfortable with Klaus now than she ever had been at home. Being in 1935 had changed a lot for them. Part of it was of course that he had been the only one she knew there, at least to her knowledge. There were other people from home now though, and she still had no plans to just write Klaus off. He was helping her. And she kind of enjoyed his company. Not that she'd be admitting to that, anytime soon. He was more than just the big bad wolf, though. Maybe Caroline was the only one who could see that. She guessed it didn't matter too much, but she wanted him to know that other people from home being here changed nothing. Not for her.
She was so glad she didn't have to look for him long. Everyone was in a hurry to pack up, and move on to the next place. Caroline had already broken down her stall, and that was ready to go. She'd done it pretty quickly after Damon had told her about Elena's strange behavior. And Caroline had witnessed it for herself, even, on the notes she'd written and Elena had written back. Something was definitely wrong. She was pretty panicked about the whole thing, but she thought she was doing a good job of keeping it together right now. Her friends needed her, and everyone here might be in danger. Emotionless Elena was bad enough in the time they came from, but now? It would be even worse.
"No." Caroline shook her head, and sighed. She looked away from him for a moment, mostly trying to make sure no one else was listening to them, or even watching them. So she was a little paranoid, she couldn't help that. "It's nothing like that." And she figured if it was, despite what he'd just said...he would have helped her with it, anyway. "It's Elena, she's here...and I think somehow she's turned it off again."
