Damon was getting more confused by everything the longer he was here. He had returned to the notice board a few times after his run in with Caroline. Caroline hadn't known that Elena was there, which was odd. Why wouldn't Elena let her best friend know that she was there. And Elena was..... acting like an emotionless bitch again. Was she really that way again? He had gotten her back and things had finally worked out for him and now they were going back to way they had been.

He had a feeling that Stefan would know more about what was going on and since Stefan hadn't told him where he was staying, Damon assumed that he was coming to his tent to meet him. Damon had to say, he already hated this place. But for now he would wait patiently for his brother to show up.

Damon had let it known where he was staying, just like Elena had. Stefan was weary of being so open with people that he didn't know, especially in a place that wasn't familiar to him. No longer thinking it was a dream and now more so trying to find a way out, even if he was becoming accustomed to the lifestyle that was here. But, his brother was here. Which was a relief. He at least had him. And Elena in her own ... way he guessed. He was just curious what version of his brother he'd be seeing. So far, Elena was stuck while Stefan had moved on from that because he was forced to.

He found the tent easily considering that Damon resided next to Julia and Stefan found it hard to not see Julia, whether she knew it or not.

Pushing open the flap of Damon's tent, he walked in with ease, not sure what to expect, but knowing that no matter what, they would face this and Elena together. They had to get her to turn her humanity back on and he hoped that Damon was board with that.

"I can tell by the look on your face that you're having a grand old time," he teased as he stood there by the opening of his brothers tent.

Damon would never admit it out loud, but he was glad that Stefan was here. Stefan and him had been through a lot together, but at the end of the day, they were always brothers first and always ended up being there for each other where it mattered most. Even if Katherine, and to an extent, Elena, had pulled them apart a bit they still would do anything to save the other.

He looked up from where he lay on his bed at the sound of Stefan's voice. "A grand old time?" he asked. "Seriously, Stefan?" he asked, a smirk on his lips. "You can come inside, Stefan. Nobody likes a hoverer."

Damon had a lot of questions for Stefan, but it was best to somewhat ease into them.

No, they didn't. Elena told him so the other night, but it was easier for him to be hesitant and ready than just throw himself into ... this. But, alright. This was how it was. It couldn't change, and they had to face it. But while facing it, they had to fix it. He stepped inside the tent and glanced around before he looked at his brother again.

"What's the last thing you remember?" Stefan asked him, wanting to know what he was dealing with before the both of them threw themselves into this. Stefan remembered overhearing Elena proclaim her love, he remembered feeling completely ripped apart and he remembered telling his brother that it wasn't okay, but he was happy for him. And then Lexi before she disappeared, but before he had time to process that, he was here.

He watched Stefan walk into the tent, but he seemed rather hesitant. Damon wasn't entirely sure why, maybe something in the message he had given about not keeping a low profile. Damon had just been interested in finding a way out, he was pretty adept at being able to handle himself so he wasn't too worried.

"I remember..... you telling me that what happened with.... Elena that you weren't.. not not happy for me. You were going to take care of Silas," he said. "I went back inside the house, had a drink... ended up here. What about you, what's the last thing you remember?" he asked.

"Sounds about right," Stefan said and shrugged, "I was on my way to take care of Silas." He didn't really elaborate on anything else. But, it gave him a starting point, gave them both a starting point. They seemed to be from the same moment while Elena was still stuck.

"Elena doesn't have her humanity. I talked to her the other night, the last thing she remembers was being in New York," he said. "It's the usual, she says the Elena I know isn't coming back and maybe being here, she's not entirely wrong. We already know that memories and torture doesn't work and Jeremy's not here. Neither is Matt."

"I have a feeling something was off about her when she seemed rather cold," he said. His eyes narrowed a little at Stefan saying maybe Elena wasn't wrong about coming back.

"She is. She has to be. Because we are not leaving her like that. There is no way. We'll figure something out, another way to bring her back. I don't care what it takes. I just...." he trailed off. He didn't need to talk to Stefan about this, but he had just gotten Elena. And he'd be damned if he wasn't going to bring her back again.

"Well, consider your feeling right," Stefan sighed, frustrated because this wasn't happening again, only it was and now they were completely at a loss on how to go about it. Sure, they could tie her up and force it out - only they tried that and it didn't work. She didn't care. The only thing that she cared enough about was the death of Matt. She never thought Damon would do it. It was practically a dare, but when it happened, everything snapped into place. Everything crashed.

"We're not. It's just going to take time." He saw the pain in his brothers eyes and it was another clear sign. "We have to be smart about this, Damon. We'll figure it out and when we do, well ..."

	"Well, Matt isn't here," he said. "I asked Caroline. We need to think of another plan to help her. I'm not sure what we can do just yet, but I'm not leaving her like this," he said. "Well, what?" he asked, not entirely sure where Stefan was going with that. (Reply to this) (Parent)
