Lindsey responded with a slight nod. He had good intentions, but the truth was he wasn't as innocent as he appeared. He could never compete with Elena, but he hardly knew that. he didn't know the woman in front of him at all.
He was just a man, that much was true. But he had knowledge and understanding. He couldn't explain how he'd ended up in the 1930's, or working as a carny in a traveling carnival outfit, but he knew there were powerful beings out there. Manipulating time and space was a new one, but Lindsey had seen enough to believe anything was possible.
"Should I just set this down, or..." Lindsey held the plate out. He felt a little awkward just holding on to it. He'd brought it for her, but there was something about her demeanor that suggested it wasn't really what she was looking for. Not that he could blame her. Even with that guy who looked like him doing some of the cooking, the food sucked.
