The dead arriving here only provided him with marginal hope. Kol and Finn were dead, and while it would be lovely to be reunited with his brothers once again, there were also thousands of enemies who were just as dead and should they return... life would not be as pleasant. Especially if the likes of his father turned up.
"Jeremy," Klaus repeated the name, intrigue clear in his tone. Given the circumstances and how such things only happened to a select group of individuals within Mystic Falls, he didn't have to guess as to who she was referring to. "Jeremy Gilbert, I'm sure," he commented and then gave a dismissive wave of his hand. "I've no interest in harming the boy if you're concerned. I've enough on my plate without having to incur the wrath of the Hunter's curse," Klaus said. And it was true. As it stood now, Jeremy wasn't worth tolerating the curse and so he was safe from Klaus's murderous whims. He wasn't too interested in murdering anyone these days. He was still finding his footing in this new predicament he found himself in.
Before he could comment further on Jeremy's presence in the carnival, Caroline arrived to the scene, making her own presence known by calling out Anna. Klaus looked over at her, curious. He hadn't known her in a time where she would have known Anna. But then, Anna was clearly dead prior to his encampment in Mystic Falls. "So I see you've met Annabelle," he commented as the blonde came and stood alongside him. "It turns out she was dead before arriving here," Klaus continued. "Dead in the permanent sense and not in the immortal sense, like ourselves," he smirked. He gestured between the pair of them, "And how is it you girls know one another?"
