The trapeze? The arch of his eyebrow gave away the fact Klaus found that to be ridiculous, though he didn't offer much commentary on the matter. If the carnival brought in not only him, but Caroline and Anna as well, perhaps there was a pattern there. She inquired as to his position within the carnival and Klaus gestured to the flamboyant costume he was wearing. "Swordswallowing," he said, his tone laced with annoyance. At least his body had completed the healing before he had to interact with her; Klaus found the way his throat rasped when he spoke too soon after the ordeal to only infuriate him further.
He was hardly pleased with the situation, but he was biding his time for now while he worked on finding out more information. And, not that he would admit it, but Klaus stayed in line for now for Caroline's sake. He needed to know what he was getting into before he decided to take on whoever was powerful enough to bring them here - because while he was perfectly immortal, Caroline was not and for now, even Klaus's own self-interest was outweighed by his affection for her. So for now, he was reluctantly playing along with this little carnival charade.
"Is your mother along for the ride, or did they bring you in alone?" Pearl, from what Klaus knew of her, had been more the sort of scheming and business, which meant she was the threat out of the family. Anyone with ambition generally found their way opposite Klaus after long enough, it seemed. He doubted Pearl was here, though. He hadn't been given the luxury of family to come along for the ride, and so Klaus figured the same would have been denied Anna as well.
