Heading into town would be the best bet for him. Sure, he could find some unsuspecting member of the carnival to feed on, but that was a greater risk - someone could see him or he could get carried away. But given his irritation with the day already, it seemed like a better idea because it meant a more instant sort of gratification. Wiping the back of his hand across his mouth, Klaus heard the footsteps of someone as they neared. He considered ignoring them, but when they paused, Klaus turned toward the sound. His gaze immediately settled on the petite woman not that far from him and his eyes narrowed.
"Annabelle," he spoke her name. Klaus hadn't known there were other vampires here who had more than just a year or two under their belts. Caroline had barely been a vampire for over a year, after all, but he recognized Anna from centuries past. She had been a companion to Katherine, after all, and Klaus had made it his business to know those who were close to the brunette, though to be honest, he had forgotten the vampire in front of him had even existed. Surely she was dead by known. Most who had aligned themselves with Katherine found that fate sooner rather than later. Apart from the infuriating Salvatores, at any rate.
"I take it you've been commissioned by Management as well," he drawled and took a few swaggering steps closer to her. While he didn't typically find Anna a very intriguing person, her presence here altered that. What about the little vampire would attract someone enough to abduct her and place her here? He could understand his ow presence - he was an Original and a hybrid. He could even rationalize Caroline's presence - she knew about Silas and the Cure and those who seemed to pal around with Elena just turned out to constantly be in the crosshairs. But Anna? He couldn't easily put a finger on a reasoning for her presence here.
