With her initial offer turned down Julia briefly floundered. Unsure of what to say next though the other woman’s smile was friendly enough that the nurse didn’t feel like she was an unwanted presence. Not really having talked to a lot of people here so far, but with all the dark thoughts swirling through her head she welcomed the distraction. Taking a few slow steps forward as she rolled the top of her popcorn bag closed. Automatically offering a hand in introduction until she realized that it wasn’t exactly clean. Traces of a salt and butter making her fingers shine as she began to pull it back hesitantly. “Hi. My name’s Julia. I’d shake your hand but its a bit... popcorn-y.”
There was probably a better word for it, but nothing had come to mind. Instead continuing on with the next thing. “I work the popcorn stand. Or at least I’m trying too. It’s not exactly anything I’m used to."
