She glanced over at Diana in surprise. She hadn't been asking for any books. But maybe...maybe a cheesy romance novel, something she'd enjoyed as a human, might help her reconnect with her lost humanity? It couldn't hurt. She grinned.
"Yeah, okay. Sounds like fun." She barely even stumbled over the words, and they sounded more natural than they had since she'd ripped her Grace from around Uriel's neck.
Diana's next words took her off guard, and she found herself half laughing. "Light as a feather," she said in a dry voice. "You could say that."
She tossed a few bits of gravel out into the rain and watched the pale stones darken as the water hit them. "Where are you from originally? And when?"
