"I'm okay." Lydia offered weakly, not wanting to worry them. She was fine, except that she'd gone worst case scenario in her head and did not like what she saw. She was really worried about Allison. Really worried about why they were all here. What if someone terrible was given the archer job? Images of Allison's body, broken and bleeding, flooded her head and that had been a little much for her to handle. Surely that wouldn't happen, but she couldn't help worrying about it.
"You can't keep that promise." Lydia said. "There is no guarantee that we are remotely safe here. Look around." She told her friend, and then looked at Anna again. Lydia took in a few deep breaths, trying to calm herself. But there was so much uncertainty, and they didn't know what would happen. That wasn't so unlike home, really. She didn't know what would happen there, either.
"I know, I know. I'm sorry, but Allison...this could be worse than what we've dealt with before." Because so much of it was unknown to them. This was a big mystery. Lydia loved to crack those, but...not like this.
