This is sort of random but it isn't because

hollywoo and I were talking about romcoms with older actors in it after Something's Gotta Give and I mentioned this one and we bonded over how Steve Martin is adorable and used to be in a lot of good movies. And thus this became a thing and I have no regrets.

I have some fondness for the movie, but it might be a YMMV one, especially as it was done a decade ago lol. It was kind of in the vein of 'woman in her 50s adjusts to love life, probably love interest is dating a woman half her age, she comes to be confident and awesome regardless of dude, but probably still has a dude of some kind in the picture by the end.' Thus why Something's Gotta Give led me to this movie in connection. His character is a stand out though as a very sweet love interest.
