Current mood: | awesome |
15th of May 2008, Jin, Ryo, Hiroki, Yui and Miyuki
Hiroki smiled slightly as he looked over Yui's shoulder and glanced at Jin who was sitting with Miyuki on the floor. It sort of went without saying that he was a natural with kids - this was Akanishi Jin after all. He had always been. The juniors had always loved to play with him... unless he was in a bad mood of course. Hiroki had enjoyed playing with him too... only that was like, fifty years ago. But still.
"So...," he said then and smiled slightly as he returned his attention to Jin's girlfriend. She was cute, he thought, cute and really looked just like she did on all those posters and stuff that you saw her on. Only a bit more... human, if that made sense. As Ryo was in charge of the cooking - which he always was when they had people over, he was the best at it after all - and Jin had occupied himself with taking care of the baby, Hiroki and Yui were left alone by the table with nothing to do. Of course making the table would come up as a task to do in a while but for now...
"... it's getting really warm lately." The weather!? He didn't mind talking to other people's girl- or boyfriends but... it was always so difficult to start a conversation when he didn't -know- the person he was talking to. So, so awkward.
Yui smiled, not feeling nearly as awkward - somehow it was reassuring that he obviously wasn't much more sure than she was of exactly what to talk about in these circumstances. Though that made sense; it was much easier talking to the friend of a partner than the partner of a friend. How did he know, after all, that she wasn't completely different in reality to how she had people think? One of those fake people who displayed one personality on television and in the media, and another to the real world...
"Mm, it is," she replied easily - choosing now to change the subject because their conversation would almost definitely screech to a halt here if she didn't. Hearing Miyuki behind her giggling, Yui tilted her head slightly. "Is it difficult dealing with Miyuki-chan? I mean, since you both have commitments..." Okay maybe that was too personal a question. Here's hoping he wouldn't get offended..?
Surprised by that question, Hiroki just blinked a few seconds. It wasn't that he thought of it as too personal, but it was pretty random... and sudden. Or maybe not so random, but definitely sudden and quite surprising. He didn't mind though! Definitely not, he loved talking about Miyuki... except for when it was when he had -enough- of her and wanted -more- of Ryo, but... now that was a bit too personal and definitely none of Yui's business.
"Not really," he answered though and shook his head slightly before looking at where Jin had now decided to lie down next to Miyuki on the floor. ...it was really, really cute, actually, how happy he looked when he was with children.
"It's a bit... lonely at times," Hiroki continued then and looked back at Yui. "When both of us have work and we don't get to see her for a while... But I see her quite a lot. I think it's more lonely for Ryochan... but it's actually not so bad as one might think though!"
'Ryochan', wasn't that sweet? Yui couldn't help but smile slightly wider at that, looking down at the table - she'd heard that Hiroki was the girly one of the two (Jin's words, not hers, so while she'd never say it she felt sort of okay thinking it) but that was... really sweet. Somehow different from when Jin referred to Ryo the same way. Possibly because there wasn't a romantic connection there?
"I see...," she muttered, thinking about it a bit. If she'd have a child, if she'd have -Jin's- child while she was still working and kept secret from the world... She wasn't sure if she could really deal with that properly. Of course she'd do it but wouldn't there always be that kind of feeling as though one wanted to show off the baby? And if it's going to be really secret you have to be so careful who you talk to... "Why did you decide to have a child so young..?" No Miyuki couldn't possibly be both of their child but still she was -theirs-, she knew how that worked and thus the wording stayed the same.
"Excuse me Uchi-san, I don't mean to ask so many questions..." Dipping her head in a sort of apologetic bow, she glanced to her left; feeling a little stranded when she noticed that she couldn't see Jin from here.
"No, no!," Hiroki quickly answered and shook his head and even waved his hand a bit before him. "It's okay, I don't mind, not at all!" It was fun! Now, this sounded a bit like he didn't have any friends - which he did. He had a lot of friends, but not everyone could understand what it felt like to have a baby after all. Sure, from what he knew Yui didn't really have one but for some reason... Well. What if she thought of it? With Jin? Jin wanted kids after all...
"Iya... I don't...," he started then as he tipped his head slightly to the side. "It... we were babysitting her? And it was... no, Ryo was babysitting her and... he needed help." Hiroki giggled slightly at the memory and even went so far as to glance towards the kitchen to see if he had heard it. Most likely he wouldn't really appreciate that Hiroki told about this story. Not that that would stop him from doing it though.
"And... we spent some time with her and then... we talked with her- no, Ryochan talked with her mother and...," he smiled slightly. "It wasn't a hard decision really... even though we're... -I-... am kinda young." Hopefully Ryo would hear that.
Yui couldn't help twitching in surprise at the sudden (and rather loud) 'oi!' from the kitchen - apparently Ryo -had- heard that. Quite a feat really, that or he'd simply been listening because he didn't actively have anything to -do- for a few moments... Those moments were what Yui didn't like about cooking, when one had to just stand around and wait for things to happen. One of the many reasons, indeed, why she used the microwave as little as possible. Wasn't it just more -fun- to do things properly?
"Bikkuri shita...," she whispered, her eyes wide as she placed a hand over her chest as though to somehow calm her heart that now raced at what felt like a mile a minute.
Hiroki giggled lowly at that and leaned a bit forward so that he'd be able to get a somewhat good-ish view of his boyfriend.
"Honto da mon~," he said then before leaning back in his seat and look at Yui. "Sorry ne~ He's a bit like that sometimes..."
"Oi Ryo!," Jin called out then, not giving Hiroki much of a chance to say anything else. Picking Miyuki up so she could sit in his lap, he quickly looked at the two girls by the table and then to the kitchen. He couldn't see his friend from here though but he knew that he was in there somewhere and for now that was enough.
"Don't do that, you scare Miyuchan!"
Walking out to the door so that he could see everyone, Ryo leaned on the doorframe and pointedly ignored everyone but the little girl sitting in Jin's lap. Because she was the only one (besides Jin's girl who hardly counted because he didn't really know her) who wasn't conspiring against him right now.
"Sorry Miichan~," he sing-songed with a big, utterly fake smile - and then shot special 'you will pay for your transgressions, evildoers' looks at both Jin and Hiroki. Because they would. And to make one's eyes express an emotion as complex as that took some work so yes he was sort of showing it off a little bit. With that, he turned and went back into the kitchen... feeling terribly wifey as he did so. Just how had he gotten stuck with the cooking again? Wasn't that supposed to be the woman's job? Seriously!
As soon as you couldn't see Ryo anymore, Jin again returned his attention to Miyuki and put her down on the floor again. He loved this girl, really. Once he got kids (hopefully with Yui, tralala) that girl (or boy) and this little thing before him would end up being the best of friends like ever. He would make sure that happened because seriously, if that wasn't the awesomest thing ever? It was! And Ryo and he could be playing around with them while the moms did the lunch boxes and... man. It was so awesome. Why were kids so awesome? They even made you use this silly voice and even though you were completely aware of that you did it... you weren't ashamed of it. It was really kinda weird. Babies were so awesome.
"He's not that scary -all- the time," Hiroki explained then, thinking of it like he defended Ryo right now. Because he had just now come off as really scary... Which was usually what he did. Unless he was in a really good mood and loved everything and everyone. That was actually kind of funny but considering how this was a first impression kind of day, it probably was better that he was like he was right now.
Normal and stuff...
"He can be really nice actually~" He was just a bit shy - very shy - and not very good with new people. Though, Hiroki didn't say that. He knew that if he would say -that- of all things... then Ryo definitely would kill him later. And not in the good way either.
Yui nodded slowly, as though Hiroki were telling her something extremely interesting - while Ryo had surprised her and he didn't exactly -look- like the nicest guy in the world, she didn't seriously think he was scary. It was almost impossible, she'd found, to think bad things about any of Jin's friends after listening to him talk about them. Not that she would have anyway, but he just made them all sound so nice; or maybe it was that he only spoke about good things? That or 'bad' things that weren't really bad things at all...
Looking over her shoulder for a moment, she looked at Jin playing with Miyuki and self-consciously placed a hand on her stomach before looking back down. She couldn't imagine what it would be like to experience getting pregnant, actually having children, it seemed so strange... Probably one of those things that only people who'd been in that position could really know about.
So absorbed was she in her thoughts that she entirely forgot that she was supposed to be having a conversation here. She'd apologise in a minute of course, if she managed to realise that she'd just let her end down completely - but for now there were way too many thoughts trying to come to the forefront all at once.
Hiroki fell silent as he noticed how Yui was looking at Jin. Had he been a girl, Hiroki most likely would have said that it was a 'girlthing', that he could see just how much Yui liked Jin right now, but he -wasn't-. And while he could be very girly et cetera, there was simply no way he was so girly that he'd get into those things that only girls could see and feel and notice... Maybe except for when he was with Ryo and had a girly moment of course. But this was nothing like that... It was really easy to see in the way Yui looked at her boyfriend though, to see how much she...
As he noticed how she held her hand over her stomach, of course the first things that went through his mind was babies. And pregnancy. And that in addition to the way she was...
"Ne, Yui-chan," he said then, not at all thinking about that she might get offended by the casual tone. But she was younger and Hiroki had always been the type to say things like that immediately... sometimes it wasn't that much of a good thing, hopefully she wouldn't mind though. When Yui looked back at him, he lowered his voice slightly and continued;
"Might be a bit too personal, but...," and again - had he been a girl, then Yui probably wouldn't mind at all that he asked this. But now he wasn't and thus she might... but, again, hopefully not. "... are you pregnant?" One couldn't blame him for wondering, really!
Snatching her hand back as though she'd been caught doing something indecent, Yui blinked at Hiroki with wide eyes for a few moments before her mind caught up with the new development. Was she? No, she couldn't be... there was literally no way. But she'd been thinking about it, just now she'd been thinking about that kind of thing - was she really that obvious? Had Jin noticed..?
"N- no!," she stammered, shaking her head adamantly - god, was she blushing now? That would be awful... Calming down, she swallowed hard and kept her eyes fixed to the table; her hands holding onto one another at chest-height as though not trusting themselves to move from there. "I'm sorry...," she muttered, apologising for the harsh tone more than anything else. "I was just... thinking a little..."
"Uun ii yo," Hiroki mumbled in reply, smiling slightly as he easily took notice in the faint blush on her cheeks. That was so cute though. If she wasn't pregnant then, didn't that look she'd just given Jin that she wanted to be? Maybe not now, but eventually? Probably... she thought of Jin in the same way that Hiroki thought of Ryo? Everytime he saw Ryo with Miyuki it was like... he wanted them to have more children, to be honest. Of course he knew -that- if anything was sort of impossible, but Ryo really had a good hand with children, it was so easy to tell that he loved Miyuki so much and... It was probably just one of those things. Seeing your boyfriend with a child... At least he thought he understood what Yui felt like? Assuming he was right in the first place.
"He's good guy~"
Smiling slightly, Yui nodded as though conceding that point - if she was perfectly honest, her insecurities about the whole thing had nothing to do with Jin anyway. That is to say, she wasn't the slightest bit worried about whether he'd make a good father or even if he'd stick around like fewer and fewer dads were doing these days... Somehow she was totally confident about that. The thing was, didn't it seem a little like rushing headlong into something just to see what it was like? And when there was another person involved it was really much better not to do that. So there should probably be some waiting involved...
Another thing that worried her was - sure she was confident that Jin would make a good father, a -great- father even, but what about her? What kind of mother would she make? What if she was terrible at it? What if she screwed up the whole thing? This wasn't something where you could just apologise and run another take, it was really important to get it right the -first- time and... well, could she really do that..?
Her clasped hands falling to rest on her lap, Yui sighed quietly, her shoulders slumping a little in defeat. It was just too frightening right now, too much. Maybe she needed to grow up some more. "Mm...," she muttered. "It must be... difficult though, right..?"
"Maa...," the older one shrugged slightly as he kept on looking at Jin and Miyuki. Was it difficult? Of course it was! It wasn't as if it was the easiest thing he had ever done, to have a child. And he was pretty sure that hadn't it been for Matsuda-san in Osaka and Mie here in Tokyo, they wouldn't have been able to make it at all. And of course, lately his mother too...
"A bit," Hiroki replied, finding no reason to be anything but honest. After all, if he went on and said that it wasn't difficult, then Yui might go ahead and think that it -wasn't- and... yeah, it simply wasn't a nice thing to do. "But... everyone'll be right there for you, right? I mean, especially... your mom? And his mom... and siblings and...," and cousins - Hiroki wouldn't have managed at all if Hikari hadn't been there for him. Of course Aoi had helped too but honestly not as much as Hikari.
"As long as you're not alone I don't think it's too difficult..."
Jin glanced up at where Yui and Hiroki sat. From where he was he couldn't hear anything at all - whether that was because they were talking in low voices or because his hearing was awful he wasn't sure of. It didn't matter much though, because what did matter was that they were actually talking and seemed to get along really well... For some reason that made him kind of happy.
"Yooosh~," Jin said then as he got up to his feet and then decided that, instead of playing on the floor with Miyuki like this, he could just go ahead and bother his friend - of course with Miyuki. He wasn't going anywhere without her, definitely not.
As they got into the kitchen, Jin turned so he could lean against the counter and looked at Ryo who stood by the stove.
"Yo~"
Ryo looked up from where he was stirring something, brought from his thoughts (about nothing in particular really, just some random thinking to pass the time) by the sudden appearance of his friend. And Miyuki. But this was Akanishi Jin, of course he brought the baby.
"Oh, hey," he greeted absently, turning back to what he was doing both so he wouldn't screw it up while he wasn't looking and because he knew it wouldn't bother Jin anyway. "Hostess not keeping you entertained well enough?," he asked with a grin, doing this and that with the practiced ease of someone who's done this a million times in the past. "Maybe I should fire her."
"Maybe you should~," Jin replied without even thinking twice about it as he looked down at Miyuki who found his necklace very interesting.
"No but," he continued then, lowering his voice slightly as he didn't really want for Yui or Hiroki hear what he was about to say. Of course it wasn't something bad though - he wouldn't say something bad about Hiroki in front of Ryo (if there was anything -to- say in the first place) anyway and about Yui? Pretty much nothing bad to say about her like, ever.
"They're getting along very well it seems, it's kinda cute."
"They are?," Ryo asked, not really having paid too much attention aside from yelling at Hiroki who totally deserved it for calling him -old-. Especially when the guy who was dating the nineteen year old (and said nineteen year old, but that was another issue) was in the room! He totally wasn't old. Maybe when he was 50 he'd be old, but until then he was still young so there.
"Not like you gave them much choice though," he pointed out, turning around for a moment as it seemed it had come to another one of those times when all there really was to do was wait. "No you can't take her home with you, by the way." This said with a pointed glance in Miyuki's direction.
"Noo?," Jin pouted and lifted Miyuki up a bit more so he could look at her face. "Too bad huh~ You really wanted to come with Jiniichan and Bella home, right?"
Of course it went without saying that he didn't get much of a reply from her, unless you counted get poked on the face as a reply of course. He didn't honestly want to take Miyuki home with him though - he wanted a kid sure, but he didn't want Ryo's kid. That would be horribly mean of him after all, mean and inconsiderate and all that stuff. Because... well, it meant that he would make Ryo sad. And if there was one thing Jin wasn't cool with, it was making his friends sad.
Ryo raised an eyebrow and folded his arms, leaning back against the counter. Sure, he was used to Jin being - well, Jin. But really, going that far kind of begged to be asked about. And, he was pretty sure, Jin had only bothered saying it so he'd ask about it anyway.
"Bella?," he thus asked, never one to disappoint a friend. Unless said friend deserved it, or it'd be funny. Then maybe. But since it wouldn't be funny enough to warrant it, he'd pass this time.
"Mhmm, Yui~" Jin replied, still looking at Miyuki who seemed to have decided that she was going to take off his nose. Or at least that was what it seemed like. Not that she would succeed (thankfully! Unless she was a superbaby or something) but it was still sort of funny. Maybe babies thought that you could do that?
"Means pretty in Italian~ I bet you didn't know that, did you?," he continued then as he realised that Ryo probably wanted an explanation to why he was calling Yui something so random like Bella. Well, Yui-chan was sort of boring! No offense to her, but everyone called her that after all! And Jin wasn't just anyone, he was her boyfriend-eventually-to-be-husband so it went without saying that he should call her something special, no? Yes it did.
Unable to help rolling his eyes at that, Ryo shook his head and chuckled a little. How very like Jin to pick something from one of his pet languages and use that as a nickname. Personally the younger one was pretty sure that even if it was ugly Jin would still end up using it. Or perhaps just use something that meant something completely random like 'lampshade' just because it sounded good.
"I didn't," he conceded, glancing behind him to make sure everything was still okay and there wasn't any destruction of his efforts (and therein wastage of his time) while he wasn't looking. As everything looked pretty much fine, he looked back. "Did -she- know that?"
Jin held Miyuki a bit closer to his chest as he got asked that, just so that he'd be able to hold her better -and- look at Ryo at the same time. This whole child-deal was pretty weird! You had to know how to do many things at the same time - good thing for Ryo that Hiroki was there... and their nanny whatever her name was.
"Yes," he answered then though and glanced out at the table where Yui and Hiroki seemed to have quite an interesting conversation. Wonder about what... he wanted to know. Though Jin knew very, very well that if he would get closer and listen, they definitely would notice and thus end up not talking about it anymore. Girls worked like that... and Hiroki. And Kazuya. Girls and feminine guys. Ah, and Tomohisa. Sometimes.
"We were going through this dictionary I'd bought and found that word~ Thinks it suits her perfectly, don't you?" Of course there was a right and wrong answer to that question.
Of course Ryo was perfectly aware of there being a right and a wrong answer to this question, and that he was -expected- to give the right one. Honestly though? Aragaki wasn't even close to his type. She was too... how to say it... naive? Not that he could really tell that, he hadn't exactly spoken to her that much, but she was this specific type of girl that you'd probably call 'sweet'. He didn't really like 'sweet' girls.
Also, remember before when he'd passed up on disappointing Jin? Yeah, this was one of those times when it would be more fun to be mean. "If you say so~," he replied with a smirk deliberately meant to say 'haha dude you're so delusional'. Or something like that.
Right now it was probably a good thing that Jin wasn't the type who got angry every single time someone didn't agree with him. After all, he was very well aware of that he and Ryo didn't have the... or well, they actually, usually, did find the same kind of girls interesting. And hot and sexy and all that - but he also knew that Yui was nothing like the type they would usually look for. Which, of course, made the whole thing even more special and awesome and...
"Y'know," he said then and quickly looked out to where Yui sat again, only to make sure that she and Hiroki were still being busy talking about tea or flowers or whatever they talked about. As it seemed that they were, Jin looked back at Ryo again. "You free sometime soon? Like. Tomorrow or something?"
Ryo shrugged, almost disappointed with the lack of indignant protest on his friend's part, and seemed to decide that it was time to do something now as he turned around again.
"I dunno, probably," he answered almost absentmindedly, having relegated his friend to second in the ranking of what most needed his attention right now. Sorry Jin but eating dinner and not having to suffer through it is more important than a bit of random conversation. "Why?"
"Y'see...," Jin walked a bit closer so that he leaned back at the fridge now, right behind Ryo. Just so that Yui wouldn't hear. If Hiroki heard then that was fine, as long as he swore not to tell a soul but Yui couldn't hear because that would sort of ruin the whole thing - wouldn't it?
"Kinda... thought of getting a ring an' stuff," the older one continued, his voice lower than it had been a second ago, simply because he didn't want to risk anything. Ryo would understand that, wouldn't he? Of course he would. "An' y'know I can't really decide on stuff on my own and... stuff so..." Please Ryo be free so you can help out? Yuu had shooting and Tomohisa seemed to never have time lately. Either that or he was simply avoiding to hang out with him and if he was to be honest, Jin thought he knew exactly which was the correct reason of those two. Not that he minded though, you shouldn't do that, not when you had a small part in a drama like that.
This right here, ladies and gentlemen, was one of the (surprisingly numerous) reasons why Nishikido Ryo would never for half a moment -ever- consider dating Akanishi Jin. Not only did he know way too much about him to start, -and- he was way too manly to ever be the girlfriend type, but when it came to things like this? He was just way, way too... sweet. Suddenly the younger one could see perfectly how him and Aragaki Yui had happened.
Grinning a bit as though he was (badly) holding back an 'aww', Ryo nodded. "I should be free tomorrow, or soon if not then." After all, left to his own devices Jin would probably pick something that looked like the special prize in a box of cereal.
Unaware of that Ryo was thinking such nice - or maybe not so nice, depending on how you looked at it - Jin smiled before lifting up Miyuki again.
"Feel free to bring this thing if you want," he said - knowing very well that it wasn't possible - and laughed slightly as Miyuki again tried to grab his nose. How did these small people think, anyway? Of course they thought - they had to - but how did they think? It was something that Jin always had been interested in, wanting to find out how little people, the small awesome things that were kids, how they worked and how they were thinking and stuff... Sure, he probably would never find out but -still-.
"Waaah," Hiroki let out as he leaned to his left to rest his head against Ryo's shoulder. "It was reeeally good~ I'm totally full now," he said, of course thinking that this was all very necessary information for him and Ryo and their two friends. He really was though! He was really full and Ryo's cooking was definitely the best, Hiroki considered himself pretty lucky that lived with a guy like this.
Sitting up again, he drank some of the wine from his glass before looking at Yui and Jin.
"Na Yui-chan," he asked and glanced at Jin quickly. "Is he a good cook?"
Since she was still in the middle of chewing what would unfortunately turn out to be one of her last mouthfuls (she wasn't quite done yet which made her the last of the four still eating, but she was used to that), there were a few seconds of silence before Yui answered. Sure she could have hummed a reply but really, in the company of people she didn't know too well, she refused to go making noise through a mouthful of food.
"Definitely," she replied once she'd managed to swallow what was in her mouth, hardly leaving a space between giving Ryo an appreciative smile and putting more food in her mouth. Honestly though, this was really good! She wasn't quite sure what she'd expected but this was certainly better. Like restaurant food, and when you go to the right restaurants that stuff is really nice...
Chuckling a bit, Ryo folded his arms and leaned back in his chair. "Thanks," he replied, turning to Hiroki then with a raised eyebrow and a 'I know you have no idea you just screwed up' kind of look.
"If it was that reeeeeally good," he started, pausing here as though asking a small child who needed the pause to really understand what was being said, "why d'you have to ask? If you're that uncertain I can just keep cooking for other people until the reviews are up to your standard."
"Because ne Ryochan," Hiroki started then - not at all thinking he had screwed up. The one who screwed up right now might as well have been Ryo, depending how you looked at it of course! Maybe he enjoyed to hear things like this so then it wouldn't be as much of a screw up.
"It's fun to hear and it makes one proud of you~" And with that he even went so far as to pat Ryo's head, not at all minding that they were together with people right now. Why would he, after all? Yui was nice! And Jin was... he was a close friend to the family - wow such big words - so it was nice really! And if Yui and Jin -did- end up being together for as long as Yui seemed to want them to, then she'd end up being a friend of the family too.
Looking back at Yui, knowing very well that he probably just now had made Ryo either annoyed or very embarrassed or both, Hiroki tipped his head to the side.
"Is Jin a good cook?" Yes, he was asking Yui here, not Jin. Of course -Jin- would say he was! Yui seemed like she'd be a bit more honest.
Jin tried his hardest (honestly!) not to chuckle at that, as he saw how -Hiroki- was the one to act like he was talking to a six year old. Granted, it didn't go all that well, but at least he didn't burst out laughing. Though, only to save himself from getting beaten up by Ryo later on - it wouldn't really happen but y'know - Jin quickly reached out to grab his glass and drink some. Good, good lovely wine. Hiroki? Hiroki was sort of awesome.
Wary of the almost dark look on Ryo's face, Yui blinked and simply nodded this time - slowly at that. Okay so when they were together usually she did the cooking... because she liked it more? Or something. It wasn't her favourite thing to do ever but she always enjoyed seeing him enjoy something she'd made afterwards, and for that reason she didn't protest. But when Jin -did- make something it was nice too!
Definitely not wanting to speak right now and thereby run the risk of getting pulled into an argument (she didn't know these two and thus had no idea if this kind of thing was normal or not, or how it would turn out), when Yui had swallowed this mouthful she immediately reached for her glass. Still mostly full indeed, she usually saved most of her drink - whatever it was - until she was done eating. And she was very nearly finished now so she supposed it wouldn't hurt to have a little more.
"Oi," Ryo muttered darkly, shooting Hiroki a glare. He didn't appreciate being treated like a kid at the -best- of times, and in front of other people? Was not the best of times!
"I'm not cooking for you again, I hope you know." And this, ladies and gentlemen, is what we in the business like to call a 'big girly sulk' that Ryo likes to throw when things aren't particularly going his way.
Some might think that it was exactly for the reason that they -had- people over that Hiroki 'dared' to act like this, especially considering how hostile Ryo acted (or tried to act). Though of course that was definitely not the case, it was just a bit funnier when there were other people that wasn't Miyuki in the room. Well, other relatives.
"Mhmm, I know," Hiroki sing-songed in reply to Ryo then and had to actually remind himself of that there were other people in the room to keep himself from actually go so far as to kiss Ryo right now. It was in moments like these that that should happen after all! Too bad there were people sitting right opposite them right now...
"Aah...," Jin pouted slightly as he looked over his shoulder to see the door that led to the bedroom being closed - just like he remembered it to be. But it was closed and it was silent and just...
Almost a bit disappointed, he looked back at the couple before him.
"Sure she's sleeping by now?"
Had Yui managed somehow to hear Hiroki's thoughts then, she probably would have said thankyou - or maybe just wanted to and not actually said it because that was kind of rude really. Sure, she was okay with the whole thing in theory, it was kind of strange to dislike that kind of thing these days. But she'd never seen two men kiss before. And to be honest she wasn't sure she really wanted to. It was bad enough seeing a regular couple kiss, that by itself was pretty awkward but really... Anyway, not the point.
The point was that Jin was absolutely adorable. Seriously. Smiling and sitting back a bit as she'd finally finished eating, Yui picked up her glass again and sipped - feeling a bit silly and girlish since she had the most left and thus trying to fix that a bit.
Ryo rolled his eyes. Just like Jin. -Just- like Jin. Remind him why he was such good friends with this guy? Maybe if he ever got in trouble he could use hanging out with Jin as a form of community service or something. People did it with -real- retards after all.
"You're not going to wake her up," he stated firmly as though talking to Miyuki herself rather than the man in his mid-20s sitting in front of him. "Even if she's not asleep yet, she should be, so you're still not going in there."
Jin looked back at Ryo then, deciding for a few moments to just -look- at the younger one, almost as if he was trying to figure out if he was joking or not. Of course he knew that Ryo wasn't joking, but that didn't mean that one couldn't pretend that he was and so he could get up and get in there to be with Miyuki a bit more. Because he loved kids, he loved, loved, loved kids, surely there wasn't anyone who didn't know that by now.
"I know that daddy," he replied then, obviously not speaking to Ryo as if he was -his- father but simply the father of that adorable girl sleeping in the next room. "Just asking~"
Hiroki couldn't help but smile a bit then, loving how it sounded when Jin said that. When someone else referred to Ryo (or himself) as 'dad' or something similar, he always got this feeling... this really weird, sort of warm feeling inside and it always made him so happy. It was like, he got reminded of that they were actually parents and... while not a single day passed and he forgot about it, getting to hear it from other people somehow made it more real. It wasn't just the two of them playing house, it was actually something... real? Something big. Which he of course really -knew- but...
Grinning at the word 'daddy', Ryo nodded in a way that could almost be described as triumphant. He hadn't actually done anything worth feeling triumphant over since he was pretty sure Jin had known from the start that there was no way he was ruining a one-year-old girl's sleep schedule just to satisfy his near-constant urge to fawn over children, but even so! He'd just been called 'daddy'. Wasn't that awesome?
"Well now you know," Ryo replied confidently.
Someone needed to explain to Yui how Jin could be so awesome. Like. He was really good-looking and all, and family-oriented and funny and intelligent and -so- cute when he really liked something. Like babies apparently. He'd been so good with Miyuki before! That was awesome, that was really, it was... something she really loved about him anyway. Not all men were like that.
Deciding that now would be a good time to lean on his shoulder, still sipping from the glass in her hand, Yui smiled contentedly and looked around. This wine was really nice, she usually didn't like it very much but this was pretty good. She'd have to remember to ask Hiroki what it was called. Maybe he'd mentioned it, she couldn't quite remember. She was running out, too. Was there any more..?
As he felt how she suddenly leaned against him, Jin looked down at Yui - definitely surprised by the action. He didn't mind, of course not, but wasn't this a bit unlike her? She always seemed to be the kind of person who wouldn't really -do- anything like cling on to her boyfriend in public. Sure, she wasn't really holding on to him or something, and it was just Ryo and Hiroki there and all but... Still! She barely knew them, she...
Though, then again, maybe one shouldn't question a blessing? And while this wasn't quite as serious like things that would normally would be called 'blessings' it definitely was -good-, so he wouldn't question it. Instead he just lifted his arm slightly to pull his fingers through... some of her hair. Her hair was so long, it was pretty amazing how someone could have the patience to save it for so long like she had. Just like her, really. To be amazing like that.
For some reason not feeling as silly as he had a moment ago (which probably was because Yui was leaning against him and that sort of meant that he was protecting her now and everything that came with that), Jin looked up at Ryo again. Right now he wanted to say 'okay so I love this girl leaning against me right now, she's sort of awesome', and he probably would have, too, hadn't Yui been able to hear that. It would embarrass her so he wouldn't do it, but he really wanted to.
"It was good," he said instead, commenting the food properly for the first time. The 'uma!' that had happened when they had started eating didn't -really- count.
"Of course it was," Ryo replied easily, absentmindedly beginning to drum his fingers on the table. He barely noticed the whole closeness thing between Jin and Yui - possibly because he'd gotten so very used to it himself by now. Okay so it didn't really seem like something he would have associated with her, but then again there were no cameras around right now. For all he knew she did this kind of thing in private all the time.
"I made it after all," he continued with a smirk, glancing at Yui then - noticing that she was done with her drink. When had that happened? Anyway, only an utterly crap host leaves people with nothing to be drinking if there's actually something there in the first place, and luckily for him most bottles of wine have much more than enough for four glasses. "Oi Jin, your girlfriend needs a topup." With that, he pushed the bottle toward the older one. ...What? Just because he wasn't an utterly crap host didn't mean he had to be an especially -good- one.
"Mm?," Yui muttered, blinking slightly at the assembled when she heard some reference to 'Jin's girlfriend'. Since that was -her- she thought it was pretty much her business. Only thing was that she hadn't been really listening until now. That was pretty rude huh... But they didn't seem to mind? That was good. And she was really thirsty again. Had it always been so warm in here?
"Does she really?," Jin asked then as he grabbed the bottle and filled Yui's glass again. Okay so she wasn't twenty yet, but there was no one around to notice things like this right now so it didn't really matter. She'd be legal in about a month anyway and it wasn't as if anyone got hurt or anything. It was pretty interesting anyway, it could be an... experiment or something! Like, how much alcohol could she take? Did she get drunk easily? Jin didn't really think of her as very drunk right now, just a bit clingy but alcohol did that to everyone.
Or at least everyone -he- knew... Except for Koike Teppei, that kid cried instead.
If he was completely honest, Hiroki didn't like it. He didn't like that Yui was under age and... drank. Maybe he was being a bit silly about that whole thing, but it bothered him slightly... Only thing that kept him from actually saying anything though, was that he didn't really think Jin would let her wander off in the middle of the night to do something stupid... Like Ryo had. Ryo was stupid. Always had been and always would be, though... of course that was one of those things one couldn't help but love about him.
"I'll clear the table," Hiroki said then and rose from his seat. Not like he could leave this to Yui and Jin, they were the guests after all so he would have to do it... since Ryo had done the cooking. But... "Ryo?," he continued and smiled in, what he would definitely call, the most innocent way ever. "Help~?" Now this was something he said -only- because they had people here. If Ryo would end up saying 'no you do it', he would look pretty rude after all and while he hadn't ever been one of those guys who care too much about the people around him... Honestly Hiroki didn't think Ryo would actually say that now.
Normally Ryo would simply have raised an eyebrow and pointed out that he'd done the difficult part here, so why should he have to help out with something so damn easy as clearing the table? But they had company and he was wary of looking childish - though for the life of him he couldn't work out what was so childish about not wanting to have to help out with -every- part of the goings-on.
Sighing quietly, he got up from his chair and grabbed Hiroki's shoulder to lean over and mutter in his ear: "You owe me one for this."
Not for a moment noticing what was going on (apparently one of the first things to go after consuming alcohol was the awareness of one's surroundings - who knew!), Yui happily drank more of the wonderful wine she was given. It was really nice though! So of course she'd drink it quickly... In fact before she knew it she was almost out again. That was odd, she couldn't really have drunk that much could she? So where had it gone? Had it evaporated? No, it hadn't had enough time... so strange...
"Ne Jin...," she muttered, moving a bit to get more comfy though this position was feeling more awkward for every passing moment. Waiting a moment until it seemed like she had his attention, she continued. "Aishiteru yo..."
Hiroki smiled slightly as he heard what Yui told Jin - that was so cute! She had to be drunk (already) though, but it was still so very cute. Though that wasn't what was important right now (sorry Yui), what was important was...
"Don't worry," he replied to Ryo then and leaned a bit forward just so that the other couple wouldn't hear this. It wasn't (all about) that he was embarrassed about this, but it would be a bit rude to say it out loud so they'd hear it too.
"You'll be on top tonight," he whispered to Ryo then and quickly placed a kiss on his cheek before walk to the kitchen with the first couple of plates.
Jin didn't listen, he didn't pay Ryo and Hiroki any attention at all because all there was for him right now was Yui and what she had said just now. Of course he knew, he knew that she loved him, but even so... to hear it like this? Of course that had also been proof enough for him to realise that Yui definitely was a bit drunk right now but it wasn't that big of a deal, was it? He would take care of her after all.
"Ore mo," he replied though and leaned his head to have it rest against hers. Was he drunk? Not very, not really. Probably not at all. Maybe he would be once they were going back home... actually he hoped he would. At least a bit more affected by the alcohol than he was now...
Smiling widely at the reply she got and paying absolutely no attention even now to Ryo and Hiroki as they skipped off to the land of fairies (okay so they were going to the kitchen but really she cared just about the same amount either way, sorry guys!), Yui moved to put her now-empty glass on the table before putting her arms around her boyfriend - holding on to him in the way you'd expect a small child to hold on to a very large teddybear.
"Jiiiin~," she sing-songed happily, still having the presence of mind to keep her voice down at a good level mind. It would probably take a lot more before she actually got -loud-, but for now... if you asked her, everything was really awesome. She felt great! So obviously Jin did too right? And... And she loved him soooo much that he just had to know all the time. The only problem was that saying it didn't really work too well, it didn't feel as though he was really getting the message of just how much she did love him - which was a lot! So... what other methods were there? Hm...
Of course it went without saying that Jin did whatever he could in order to make all of this easier for the both of them. Right now that meant that he turned his chair slightly and that way making the whole hugging-thing much easier.
"Yeeeees," he answered then as he attempted to pull her a bit closer, not really hugging her just yet. Hugging, when sitting on different chairs was a bit awkward after all, the best thing would be if they'd move to... To the couch. Ryo had said, after all, that he had some good movie and they were going to watch it, no? As he realised that Yui didn't think of that herself, Jin soon stood up and brought Yui with him.
"Yui," he whispered, keeping himself from using the nickname he had for her because she was a bit... drunk right now, it was probably smarter to just use her real name. Placing his hands on her shoulders, he held on to her a bit. She was so tiny... sure, she was pretty tall-ish for being a girl and all but she was still so small, fragile even. To think that she was -his-? It was a bit... insane. In the best way ever, of course, but still insane.
"Let's go and sit down in the couch, okay?"
The couch! Oh, that was a good idea. It'd be more comfy than sitting on chairs like that - just like Jin to be smart and cool and... Jin was so awesome. Jin was really, really awesome. What Yui didn't understand was how he could possibly have not already had a girlfriend before meeting her. Probably he just didn't like all those girls who loved him so much? Or well, they thought they loved him. You know who loved Jin the most in the whole world? Aragaki Yui. Which was why she was so happy she'd get to be Akanishi Yui someday. Someday not too far away hopefully. That would be so awesome though, getting to introduce herself as Akanishi Yui. So awesome that she kind of almost wanted to do it already. But that would be silly.
"Haaaai~," she agreed, still clinging to him for a moment before she realised something. Her glass! How rude would it be just to leave it there when they'd already taken all the other dishes through? Ohh very bad very very bad. No she definitely had to take it through. Letting go of Jin suddenly - which had her waver just slightly on the spot for a moment before she got her balance again, she grabbed it (carefully) and smiled wide. "Gonna take this," she announced almost triumphantly, and turned around to get to the kitchen. Damn she was a good guest. But she'd have to get used to being a good guest if she was gonna be a good wife, right? Totally right!
Getting to the kitchen was not difficult because the door was still open so she could tell by the tiles on the floor and how she could just see what looked like a dishwasher but might have been any number of things in reality. Anyway, in there it was so she could hand this over and get back to Jin because he was all on his own right now! And that was wrong really, very very wrong.
What Yui was very much -not- expecting to see when she stepped through the door was what she could only really describe as a makeout fest going on in the kitchen. Surprised, she very nearly dropped the glass in her hands - luckily managing to save it just before it would have slipped through her fingers. So weird so weird that was -so- ridiculously weird. Utterly, utterly creeped out despite herself, she simply put the glass on the side and stepped back through the door before they had a chance to notice her.
"Whoa...," she whispered under her breath, hurrying over to go and sit by Jin again - on the couch this time! Yaaaay couch. Seriously though. Why weren't they doing that? Like. It was weird. How they would be the ones -not- doing it. Because that didn't make sense. "Ne Jin...," she muttered again, looking up at him, and waited for him to turn his head before reaching up and pressing her lips against his in an entirely unprecedented move. Damn she was going to feel stupid in the morning.
Even though Jin had no idea of what was going on in the kitchen, if he had gotten the question if it could happen he definitely would have said 'sure why not'. Because that was how it was after all, Ryo and Hiroki did that stuff all the time and while they could keep their hands off of each other (surprisingly!) Jin had seen them not being able to way too many times. He didn't mind though - as long as they didn't ask him to join it was all cool. Just like this was, only this was by far much cooler - to randomly get kissed by Yui like this? Of course it had happened before - when she was sober - that she had kissed him without him being ready for it but right now there was so much... It was different. A good kind of different but still different.
Of course he kissed back too, not at all wanting to act like this was something he didn't like - he loved it when she did things like this. He loved when she took the first step to do things, or even just suggest it. If this was what she was like when drunk, then maybe it wouldn't be such a bad thing to get her drunk more often - after all nothing bad happened. She didn't cry or anything, she was just a bit more open. It was... sort of awesome.
Jin hummed into the kiss and put a hand on the back of her head then, ready to turn slightly so it would be easier to get a hold of her, though never really got that far before he suddenly found himself sitting just like he had five seconds ago - only now with a Yui in his lap, still kissing of course. This was something he definitely hadn't expected, Yui had never really come off as the kind of girl to do things like these, did she realise how suggestive this was? He wouldn't say anything though, maybe he'd ask about it in the morning but for now he'd just tip his head slightly back and let his arms rest around her waist. This was so, so, so awesome. She definitely had to get drunk more often.
If she was perfectly honest, Yui had already mostly forgotten where they were. They weren't at some people's house, they weren't even in a house, they were nowhere - in a place where all that mattered was the two of them so it didn't even matter what they did because everything was okay. After all, why shouldn't it be? It was perfectly normal and natural and... really a lot of fun and...
Shifting up a bit so that her chest was flush with his, her back arched so that there was room for all of her on the couch (couches were such a pain in that way), she put one hand on his shoulder and the other somewhere around his waist. Just doing that for now really, she was in no hurry. This would be a really good way of telling him how much she loved him though! Why hadn't she thought of that before? Selfish, selfish Yui... Now she was definitely gonna be as selfless as she could because he totally deserved it.
Jin blinked slightly as he felt her hand being where it was. It wasn't a bad thing or anything, he didn't dislike it, but for being Yui it was quite different - she normally had her arms around his neck. But this didn't necessarily mean something though, so he shouldn't get his hopes up or anything - besides it was probably better that nothing -did- happen, after all they weren't at home now. They were at Ryo's and Hiroki's. Not cool to do something like -that- at someone else's place.
Kissing like this was totally cool though and thus Jin closed his eyes again and kissed back, rubbing her back slightly as he did. It was 'a bit' exciting though, to have her in his lap like this, to feel almost as if -she- was the one being dominant... it was really kind of sexy. Once they got home, would she still be like this? She had to, there - when there was no one around - they could... she could... You know. Do more than this.
It was almost as if there was another person in Yui's body right now, taking over what she was doing. There was absolutely no way that if she hadn't been drinking then she'd -ever- act like this... But now that she had it felt so normal, it felt completely okay just to do anything at all without thinking of the consequences. She was so much more confident in that he'd like it, too. It seemed obvious - that was what he wanted, wasn't it? Whereas normally there was some doubt, there was always doubt, what did she need -that- for?
As she needed to catch her breath a bit, she pulled back, but never far. Staying close by, she moved her hands to get under his shirt without even thinking about it. That was the next step after all, there didn't seem to be any point in waiting and worrying about it. "Ne Jin...," she whispered into his ear. "I wanna have sex with you..." Words that had never, -ever- come out of her mouth before.
Once Jin understood what that meant, that she actually had -said- those words, it took quite a few seconds before he managed to do anything at all. For what felt like forever, all he could do was to blink and try to deal with the fact that they weren't at his place, that they... They couldn't. He knew they couldn't and he knew he had to tell her this, he had to tell her but... but...
"Yui...," Jin eventually mumbled and turned his head slightly in an attempt to catch her look. It wasn't easy though as she didn't look up. He would have to reject her, he realised. He would have to explain that they couldn't do that right now, that... He had to do something that he honestly hadn't -ever- thought he actually would say. That...
"Can... can't... do that here..." Those were probably the most difficult thing he'd ever said. Or that was what it felt like right now. Why did she have to say things like that -now-!? Couldn't she say it later... it... it... Man. He wanted to have sex with her too, definitely did. Totally did. But they couldn't just leave now because of that. But... man if he didn't actually -want- to.
Unfortunately, it wasn't -quite- that easy to dissuade Yui once she'd already decided this was going to happen. A sort of innate stubbornness that didn't show itself too often, but when it did? Well. You'd probably need the equivalent of hosing her down with cold water - and we're pretty sure that wasn't going to be happening any time soon. Something she was really banking on.
"Why..?," she asked simply, quietly, as one of her hands as though of its own accord moved ever lower - until it inched over his hip and yet beyond that. Basically the idea in her mind right now was that she had to do something for Jin, she really wanted to do this anyway -and- there was no reason why she shouldn't. No reason compelling enough that she'd actually listen to it right now anyway.
Why was she making it so difficult for him!? Normally he was pretty good with this thing that was self-control and all that, but when it came to things like these? When it was -Yui- who was insisting on that something would happen? When Yui was touching him in places she usually didn't? It wasn't as if he was with a girl without actually having a soft spot (or thousands) for her and when it came to Yui he had quite a lot of those.
"Be-because...," he tried as he forced himself to put his hand over hers and still it while bringing it up to his waist again. That wasn't as bad even though even that was a bit...
"We... we're not home..." He wanted to be though. He wanted to be at home -so- bad right now. Or being able to borrow a room from Ryo, that would be nice too. But he couldn't do that, they weren't 18 anymore. They couldn't do things like that... They had to wait. To wait until they got home. They were adults, they had to act like adults. They...
"Wa-wait... a... a bit...?"
