Sookie listened, she wasn't surprised Inari needed someone to talk to. For some people it was so easy to get wrapped up in other things here, and not notice what was going on with the people around you. It was like that for Sookie to a degree, she had been so concerned about Tara when she had gotten here that she wasn't sure what was going to happen to her, she was pretty sure her friend was dead.
But after awhile, she realized there was nothing here that she could do. Worrying about it wasn't helping anything, and it certainly wasn't helping Tara at all. So she had tried to focus on other things, like making friends and working, stuff to keep her busy. And of course there was Eric, there was always Eric...but it was nice to be away from him for a bit.
"I can't imagine what that must really be like for you." Sookie told Inari when she described how her first kiss had turned out and the...side effects of her being a vampire. "I thought I was pretty messed up, reading people's thoughts but..." Not that she was calling Inari messed up per se, it was just...they were both different. That had been tough on both of them. That sort of thing.
