"Rose," he said warmly, taking her hand. "Come on!" He tugged her out into the sun, grinning. He suddenly felt more excited than he had since he'd arrived here. He had something to do, even if it was nonsensical and wouldn't accomplish anything to getting them back where they belonged. Perhaps that was the point. Perhaps he needed a break.
He led her to the outskirts of the camp, stopping to watch a pterosaur fly overhead. He grinned up at the sky. "Beautiful," he murmured.
