Cassie blamed her shaking hands on the three cups of coffee she had this morning with her non-existent breakfast. In reality, she was sure it was a mixture of both the caffeine and the concept of doing magic. As it was, she was keeping her eyes on the ground and her boots, avoiding eye contact with anyone passing by and the world at large. She was so scared of starting the tents on fire or the trees or anything really. All she could remember was science class and making Faye and Melissa's beaker explode in retaliation for starting her burner up. To think she could do that with just a hint of annoyance and fear was frightening and Cassie didn't want to risk it here. She was in an unfamiliar place with people she didn't know, the last thing she needed was to be seen as crazy or uncontrollable.
Taking a deep breath, she took a quick peek through her long, blond bangs, hoping to see any sign of the other witch. There was still nothing and Cassie sighed softly. When Tara offered to help her, Cassie was both surprised and frightened at the notion of using her power and the thought that someone actually wanted to help her. Best of all, Tara seemed too have no hidden agenda like those back home. She seemed genuinely interested in helping Cassie master her abilities, like Adam did, and Cassie was more than willing to accept the help. Though she had wanted nothing to do with magic, she knew it was not something that could be ignored either. It was out of her control and the last thing she wanted was to harm someone else. So, she put her fear behind her and decided to learn whatever Tara could teach her.
