She absolutely would have given him the point for this one...if she hadn't been so distracted, that is. Her upward movement halted when his hand touched her wrist, and Jo nodded in reply to the question. "Yeah...plus, you know, with the punching just a few minutes before. Guess I shouldn't have used it to brace my fall just yet." The thing was, though, the pain was already fading, and all but disappeared when he pushed her hair back.
Her gaze returned to his and she couldn't hide the faint smirk at the remark about winding up on the floor. "Yeah, we probably should. Or at least, no more rough-housing. Like that, anyway." She didn't move, though, instead just studying him for a moment as a flurry of thoughts ran through her mind. They were both single. They were both there. They got along, and they were both obviously attracted to the other. So...
"Why the hell not?" The words were murmured absently, proving that she likely didn't even realize she'd said them aloud, just before she closed the short distance between them and pressed her lips to his, tentatively at first, almost testing, then a little harder. For a moment, her eyes stayed open and on his, then fluttered shut as her mind shut down for the next few seconds.
