Iona kept grinning, aware of the nakedness of both of them on a subconscious level but far too caught up in thoughts of her most recent birthday present to do much about it just yet. It was more a symbolic thing than anything else, she had to suppose, though she couldn't help but be thrilled by it. She knew she belonged to Torque just as she knew that he belonged to her in the most elemental way, but who didn't love a man who showed his claim in a gorgeous ring?
"You blinded me with something," Iona said teasingly, laughing a bit at the question and leaning in to kiss him again. "That ring is perfect," she murmured in between kisses again. "You are perfect. I love you so much."
She wasn't thinking then of all they would have to do, a wedding date they would have to decide upon and plan for if they wanted a traditional wedding or if they'd simply take off somewhere with Patience and see it done in a chapel by someone dressed as Elvis. It didn't really matter either way, she supposed, as neither of them were going anywhere, so she wasn't going to worry herself with it.
She pulled back from the kiss finally, leaning over to pick up the box once more, handling it delicately in tribute to the obvious time and detail that had went into such an intricate little box. "This box is perfect," she said as she very gently extracted the ring from between Beaker and Bunsen, then turned to slide it on her ring finger, looking down at how it looked on her hand before turning to grin back up at him. "I would ask you where and how you found all this stuff, but I think I like the mystery better." She lifted up then, shifting so that she could straddle him, and settled back in his lap once more. "Officially the best birthday ever.'
