The excessive rains from the week before cool things off a bit around town at the beginning of the week, leaving it around 71°F for the first few days, though there is excessive humidity. By the end of the week things are back to normal for this time of year, holding steady in the 90's, with lots of sunshine.
Events
The beginning of the week is still, as it was last week, a clusterfuck of road construction and inconvenience as city workers attempt to get a handle on last week's flooding damage, but that will be cleared up by the middle of the week. Police are still questioning suspects regarding the vampire slaying and the missing Were couple from a few weeks ago, but as of press time there are no leads.
Citizens who 'bared it all' and managed to not dodge the police during last week's nudist day parade may also find themselves called in for questioning by SWL Enforcers concerning some of the acts of violence that occurred during the riot. There are at least two claims of molestation, seven of police brutality, and over twenty claims of theft. Those who witnessed or were of victim of such acts are encouraged to approach the Supernatural Welfare League directly.
Despite all that, the end of the week will round out quite nicely when a carnival appears on the edge of town, directly opposite Brecker Theme Park. Despite the fact that its rides are not as big or flashy, it is free admission and is perpetually swamped almost from the moment they begin setting up their tents.
