[Contained is the promised Quidditch player in a jar, which turns out to be the tiny figurine bearing a marked resemblance to one Marcus Flint that Tracey found with Daphne earlier. Tracey has refreshed the charms animating the figurine, adding her own twist so that the broomstick regularly bucks him off and he runs along after it shaking his fist.]
Hi Mum,
So I applied for the Slug Club this year and got picked, which is a pretty big honour and will be great for networking after Hogwarts. I'm going to need some clothing for the more formal occasions we have coming up though. Some of the stuff I have at home will be okay, but I'll need new things. With me taking my NEWTs in June this will be one of the last occasions where I will likely ever ask you for money. We must treasure these moments accordingly.
I've still been getting full marks for Dark Arts and Muggle Studies. Considering it was seen as a soft option in the past, Muggle Studies has been a tonne of work. It's very informative though. Certainly challenges the previous curriculum. I was a team leader for a group project but we made it through okay. I was pretty lucky with my group, considering Daphne and Regina got Neville Longbottom and Hannah Abbott who really aren't doing either of their respective houses any credit with their behaviour. Abbott managed to lose her badge this year; Regina's got it now.
They confiscated all of our radios due to someone abusing them. Slytherin's been permitted to have a turntable though. Sully's life is complete. There's also been a pamphlet or two circulating which have been claiming all sorts of things but we don't give them much time here in the dungeons.
I don't really have much other news. Things seem hectic here, but mundane. You know how Hogwarts is. It's been tough managing my workload with the Muggle Studies project but I've been keeping up my Arithmancy marks. Hope work is still going okay for you, and Dad.
