IC/OOC: Slug Club WHO:The Slug Club WHERE: Slughorn's Office WHAT: The Slug Club's first get-together WHEN: Directly after dinner STATUS: IC/OOC!
Professor Slughorn had the Slug Club's first little get-together in his office. He was in a jovial mood, of course, absolutely THRILLED to have such wonderful new students in his club and hoped that this could be the beginning of a long-standing friendship -- not just between Professor and student, but between the students as well! They all have such an assortment of talents, and of course, much to gain from each other. He would congratulate them all and tell them that it was quite an honor that they were accepted as he had many applicants! But it's more of an honor for him, of course, to get to know each and every one of these bright pupils sitting before him.
He would then list a very long list of 'notable alumni'. This likely went on for about a half an hour as he reminisced.
Slughorn would detail what it meant to be in the Slug Club, and of course talk about the parties that he was aiming to have this year. For treats, he would have provided a delicious candied pineapple and cream cheese cake with "Welcome to The Slug Club" written on it in frosting and baked by the house elves of Hogwarts, of course. There was a fresh fruit bowl, a pumpkin pie, an assortment of biscuits (baked by a previous Slug Club member just for this occasion -- to welcome the new members!), coffee, hot chocolate, hot apple cider, and of course...mead.
Professor Slughorn would have encouraged conversation, drank and ate a good deal, and would avoid any and all questions about The Carrows, the MBRC list posted today, and anything that was even slightly controversial. Being with him in his office was almost like being transported back in time where nothing was a concern. What a nice, relaxing, if not odd and slightly disturbing place to be.
The meeting would have gone from 8 PM till 10 PM. He would have given them all permission slips to return to their Common Rooms tonight after curfew, but that they were not to dawdle and get him in trouble!
