DARK MARK SPOTTED NEAR SURREY
By Ginger Hollingshead
Several eyewitnesses have come forth to mention the spotting of You-Know-Who near Surrey, just moments before the Dark Mark was spotted. There are no deaths to have occurred in this spotting, but the Dark Mark does allude to the fact that there must have been a planned attack.
"I saw it, I saw it and thought my family had been murdered," recalls Stewart Phillips. "I dropped everything I was holding and ran to my house -- but thankfully, everyone was safe and well."
Minister of Magic, Rufus Scrimgeour, had the following to say:
"We are incredibly grateful that there were no deaths, but do encourage people to be more vigilant of their surroundings. In these trying times, we do not encourage anyone travelling alone and want to emphasise that wards are important."
The Dark Mark above Surrey is not the first to
have been in the sky since the notorious one over Hogwarts just a month ago, after Albus Dumbledore's death. Any persons with information regarding the Dark Mark or the spotting of You-Know-Who are encouraged to step forward to the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. No information is insignificant and can protect the lives of many.
