Who: Anyone Rachael invited and any friends they might have brought/told. It's basically an open house. So if your character would have feasibly found out about it, they can show up! What: NYE party! Where: The Goldstein residence in Scarborough. When: Tuesday, 31 December, 1997. Officially it started at 9:00 and goes until Rachel kicks your arse out before her parents come home. Status: Open for OOC/IC threads!
The party is at Rachel's house in Scarborough. The place has been pretty thoroughly drunk-proofed before guests start arriving. All of her Dad's expensive curse-breaker things are all welllll locked up (later, he'll probably be like, "Why are my tribal vases under the sink? This is the fertility vase of the Ndebele Tribe, doesn't that mean anything to you?!") They can pretty much go wherever they want in the house, besides Rachel, Rami, and their parents' rooms, which are all locked up. Daniel's room is open, if you're needing some privacy, since he doesn't really have anything in there anymore. They also have one guest room, which is open as well.
There's a good food spread- she ordered pizzas, there's homemade falafel, hummus, and pita bread, crisps, and probably some assorted junk. Rachel encourages you all to eat so you don't get too schwasted. There's also a wide range of alcohol thanks to her big bro, who feels bad that Hogwarts sucks so much. They've got firewhiskey, beer, muggle hard liquor, wine (BUT NOT HER PARENTS'! That shit is also locked-up in her cellar), and champagne. There's also some absinthe courtesy of Os.
The music is a mix of wizarding and muggle stuff. She's playing whatever's popular on the WWN, but Rachel also looooves muggle pop music- Spice Girls, Michael Jackson, Boyzone, MC Hammer, N'Sync, Backstreet Boys...Rachel's taste in music is both horrible and really, really fantastic. It's apt for parties though, because she likes stuff you can dance to. Ritchie might also have supplied her with some "good" music though.
There's no dress code. Rachel probably wore some cute, but pretty casual dress. She really doesn't care. This is in her house, after all, so whatever.
