[ note: only people with a wireless and password can listen to it ] RIVER: (Actually Lee Jordan) Hello, faithful listeners of Potterwatch. If you're just joining us for the first time -- welcome. This is your host, River, and unfortunately it is only me tonight but we're overdue for some one-on-one time. We here at Potterwatch provide news, REAL news bout what's going on in this Wizarding World of ours and its war against Muggle-borns. 'Tis the season this year, but for many of us it doesn't seem that way because of missing or imprisoned family members and friends. News in Azkaban is solemn. The Ministry is focusing their efforts to magically build more rooms to facilitate the overrun prison. As of yet, our eyes and ears there (as infrequently as we do hear from them) have stated that there has been no official decree to Kiss prisoners...unless they continually act out against the guards. In terms of the bombing disaster during the Quidditch World Cup, sources tell us that it was indeed a Muggle bomb that was set off, but not by Muggles. We believe it was Muggle supporters...not affiliated with the Order of the Phoenix, who had set off the bomb in an act of defiance against the Ministry of Magic. The Daily Prophet failed to mention that the bomb was seemingly strategically placed near many high-ranking Ministry personnel, to hopefully injure, incapacitate, or kill them. It seemed like a well-calculated and yet still shoddy act of desperation to stop the war on Muggle-borns once and for all. Xenophilius Lovegood, editor in chief of The Quibbler continues to bravely write the bare truth for the public to read. We understand that it's a hard sell to the public seeing as The Quibbler has been known to publish sensationalist stories in the past, but trust us when we say that it -- along with Potterwatch -- are the only two reliable news sources the public has in this corrupt, Death Eater-controlled government we're fighting against. Shout-out to my man, Xeno, for being a brave public voice. You're truly an inspiration to us all. It doesn't feel like Christmas this time of year for many of us, including myself. But stay strong, everyone, and continue fighting. Bring generosity and good spirits to all. We mustn't forget, especially during this time of war, the reasons behind the holidays. Now's as good of a time as ever to reach out, to lend a hand, to show your support. We must not be afraid to stand together. It's during times like these, despite everything, when families come together, and friends, that I'm truly reminded of the love in this world. It exists, and it's so much more powerful than people ever realize. Happy Christmas Eve, faithful listeners. May your holiday bring you and your loved ones joy and happiness. And Happy Christmas, Harry Potter. If you're listening somehow...we believe in you. Tune in next time with the password "Fawkes". Have a great night, folks, and as always, stay warm. [static] |
