A weighted metallic puzzle ball about the size of a large orange - it is highly difficult, but pattern based; once solved initially, the ball emits a chime, then opens. Upon closing it again, the hieroglyphs switch into a new puzzle and render it unopenable again until resolved. Inside at the time is a small terrarium containing a small statuette of Venus de Milo; it is enchanted to keep the plants alive, but if/when he gets it out or carries it with him, he'll find that a thunderstorm creeps into the terrarium and it happily rains - but only whenever Ursula comes round it. Within the box with the puzzle ball is the following note: Show me how clever you can be, Ravenclaw. Happy birthday. Your other gift, should you choose to accept it, is meeting me on the fourth floor after dinner. - Urs |
