Eithne jerked forward when the first shriek rebounded off the walls of the room and back towards the room the screams had come from. All of her worst fears were coming painfully to light right then. No one screamed like that when simply surprised, they were dying, or already dead now. She didn't move, Eithne stayed beside Thiele. Eithne had her hand on the falchion at her side, but had not gone for it yet. Expecting a blast, or something different. For the torches to suddenly go out and madness to meet them again. Her eyes ere sharp and fierce behind the mask she wore, she was watching as much of the room as she could as the uneasy feeling grew in the pit of her stomach.
Eithne wanted to know what Eragos was seeing in that room. Bahn had thrown up, obviously the scene was gruesome, but then Bahn was also partial to blood staying in bodies, much like Cols was. Not to the same degree though, Cols paled considerably and he hadn't even seen what was going on. The other rooms. The other people. Before Eragos had even barked at Cols, Eithne was running for the other door, Cols beat her by a half second and both threw their weight into the doors at one throwing them open so they could see what was inside. Cols turned away first and doubled over. Eithne was staring at the floor.
The room was empty save the lone figure of the little girl. Eithne didn't want to believe what she was seeing. packed neatly upon the stomach of the girl was all of her intestinal organs, all dripping fresh with blood as if they'd just been plucked from her body. Everyone else was gone. She frowned. The judge, his staff, there was no one there but her and she was dead. They'd left her alone to die? Or had they been taken? Eithne wanted to focus on anything but the body on the floor. It looked like disembowelment, but she could not see the cut, the girl was dead. The little girl was dead. Cols was heaving now, beside her. All of the blood, all of those organs. Her mouth set into a fine line.
Eithne turned away finally, and pulled the door shut behind her, Cols was throwing up.
"She's dead, the staff is missing, the girl is dead."
Though she said it in a blank voice Eithne felt the weight of emotion sitting on her chest. Cols was trying to regain his composure and failing miserably, she didn't blame him. The sight that met their eyes had been horrific, but Eithne couldn't be sick from it, she couldn't feel anything but the rise of anger pushing to crush the sadness that had taken her only moments before. Everyone who was involved would die, and Eithne didn't care who she pissed off in the process or how many she had to kill. The falchion finally left it's scabbard, and Eithne stepped away from Cols and the door.
If they wanted Thiele they'd have to get through her first.
