Skip Day 1! I met up with my Dad after work to exchange presents and eat cake. But I had done my calorie research on the cafe first and so picked something nice but not OTT calories and for all it's worth I got skimmed milk in my hot chocolate instead of full fat (I still had the syrup and the cream and a cherry which mysteriously had no stone but still had a stem!!!). But skimmed milk....
I was riding high on the smugness of yesterday TBH. But I carried 2.5l of thick soup, 1l of jelly & grapes and a tub of sausages to work so that took some effort. I also spent more time getting up and down to help people serve the delicious and balanced (ish) meal I made them instead of writing cards. And I still did my stretches and had a meeting on the other side of the building so a more active day. I've also realised cards would be SO MUCH easier but IDK, less meaningful. Who gives cards these days? Also, I got Team Diabetes to eat fruit AND veg, which is a win.
I've also done about 26 reps (in 3 episodes) on each arm with my fancy new dumbbells dad got me. He also recommended the gym at my old uni site which is nearby and might be a huge saving so I'm going to look into that one.
Tomorrow (Skip Day 2) I'm going to a light show but it's on a street and will be a few solid hours of walking/wandering/standing so fingers crossed!
