I didn't do anything yesterday, which is fine as I did so much all week, but I was v. bad about food - Alsha brought home crisps and ice cream and let's just say resistance was futile.
I made up for it today though - did my full workout in the morning AND went to a 90-minute yoga class in the afternoon. It was a yin class (longer poses focusing on connecting tissue and joints, i.e. a lot more focused on mindfulness, breathing and stretching and slowly easing into poses as opposed to the hot power yoga, which is all high-energy and buckets of sweat). These can be challenging in a different way - when you're not in a limber place, it can be quite hard to relax into a pose if you're super-tight and it borders on pain. I've had those before. Today was lovely though - not sure if it was the workout earlier or if I was just feeling stretchy but everything felt relatively easy and relaxing and I felt like I got a lot out of it. The teacher did her own chanting, too, which was cool.
I was mostly good about food today (lots of fruit through the day - pretty easy at the moment as it's berry season and Alsha's growing strawberries, yum) and multi-grain sandwiches with lots of veg for dinner. I did have more ice cream late at night, but eh, I earned it.
