My dear Nicolas, I write to ask if I may shamefully take advantage of your good nature. A matter in regards to Gellert has arisen this weekend that would require my absence for more than a few hours and I was very much hoping that you would permit me to take your name in vain and claim to be assisting you in some great and secret task from Saturday afternoon until Sunday lunchtime. Obviously if I linger beyond that time then I absolve you of any further responsibility for covering for me and you may reveal the truth as it pleases you. On my own head be it if I take longer than is necessary. I shall ask Fawkes to remain for your reply to expediate matters and shall not be at all put out should you decline. Fondly, |
